I had to install firefox to get this to work.

Not true, I use Google Chrome and everything was smooth sailing. I did use the EADM but have heard others tell of success with the downloadable as well.

Although I cannot and will not recommend DLding the third party version, I did get a report that though it was installed and the ability to publish did not exist, they were able to register a valid code and use the DLdable of the patch (which unlocks ability to publish) and the icon for registered BotParts appeared on their profile.

I finally got the parts ^^. But my problems is that Spore says sometimes, that i don't have Core Spore ô.O
I mean, sometimes appears a lock.
It's nearly the same like if you you want to look at a crteature with C&C, but i haven't it installed.

I speculate that may be because your core program in another country may not be the same as that in the US.

Try running core spore from the old shortcut, then exit it then run GA again.

Even while i use Core Spore, it says i don't use Spore. o.O

I'd uninstall and reinstall at this point.

you also need My Spore Creations folder in Documents, back it up too if you want.

Then uninstall everything, then install in this order:
spore>patch 5.1>c&c>GA>robot parts pack

Then try again.

As far as I can tell the 3rd party version is just an upload of what the EADM dowloads.

Apart from clearing cache and cookies and reclaiming the code on dr. pepper's site, try using another browser. IE8 and 7 and Firefox are recommended. If you are able to and you want to try using another code as I've heard this fixed the issue for others. I don't know of any other workaround for the issue. Let's hope maxis/dr. pepper will fix it soon.

tried it. this is no lie like my 13th (maybe eve 20th, i tried all night last night) or more try. i only use firefox, just updated it 2 days ago. i cleared my history and used ccleaner to remove all my temp files, cookies, and history. i type in 'dr pepper promotion' on google, go to the site, log in, go to my code history, click the link back to spore, sign in, and it just sends me back to the dr. pepper promotion page. i'd think it's just download in a patch like the exolimbs, or does it? i'm just assuming it's an internet download. i'd appreaciate an update if this is ever fixed. too bad i can't give someone on ea/spore/maxis my code and info and they confirm it and send me a link to a download.

It isn't just a download, your account at spore.com has to be updated to show that you have the robot parts also. Without that, even if you were to get the download some other way, you wouldn't be able to upload robot part using creations.
Right now there isn't a robot logo next to your registered Spore products at http://www.spore.com/view/profile/SPYDR . That needs to happen first, before the download process can begin.

Could you try using Internet Explorer instead of Firefox to see if the problem happens in both browsers?

I have a problem........ THE DR PEPPER MECH PARTS DOWNLOAD WONT WORK! I have reedeemed it, its read y for installation on my EADM but i try installing it and it says it will update my spore copy to the latest version and guess what...... IT DOESNT WORK! it says a problem caused setupexe. to stop working.... WHAT DO I DO!?!!?!?!?

tried it and same problem. could it be that i am on dial up? if this is the problem then even downloading from a friends computer won't help 'cause then spore.com won't verify me or it will update there spore game (or lack there of) and not mine.
