If you want to try it, you can uninstall everything and back up as I pointed out, then install spore, patch it (patch 5.1 not the robot parts), then install c&c, then GA, then enter GA, set all graphics setting to lowest and enable windowed mode, then with everything turned off in the background reinstall the parts.

Also, if you download and install the parts off a third-party website (eg. simprograms) you will not be able to upload them and they won't show up as registered, in case anyone wonders about that.

I'll hit the next button and its says I must have spore to install. now, I've been playing spore for I think 3 months now and got it through steam. so how in the world am I going to fix this? I can't un-install spore and re install it because I don't have a hard CD copy of it and I'm not sure steam will send me a new one for free.

If you download off of a third party site, and then get the actual promo code, will you have to uninstall the 3rd party program or will it just overwrite it?

Um if you got it through Steam you don't need a CD. You can just uninstall the game and then go to Steam>My Games and tell it to reinstall.
