I find it very irritating. I'm with the whole "a waste of time and effort" thing. I have zero tolerance for adventures.

Well. Instead of improving the creating ability and the quality of existing gameplay, Maxis are adding pointless new stages and features which have as many problems as the original game to begin with. Soon we'll have 50 crap stages rather than 5 decent stages. I know what I'd prefer.

I am generally Ok with this, I prefer if credit is given, however in the case of an argument I can easily prove mine was the original. I generally take it as a compliment that people like my creations a lot.

Ice- =/ I'll be logged onto Steam, playing their games... once I pay for it.



Anyways.. so yeh. I dislike stolen creations, especially when it's obvious, and people still rate

Stolen is one thing, but just using it is fine.

Go for it! Take my stuff, do what you want with it. Yes, I think giving credit is the right thing to do, but I'm okay without it.

I was a little jealous that one of my creations had compliments that should have been mine, but I am more disappointed to discover so few of my creations have been copied. I clearly have a lot of work to do as a designer.

It is the thought that counts in my opinion, so I agree with this.

If they edit the creation to an extent to were it looks nothing like the original, I'm fine.

If they edit it slightly, no.

If they use it in an adventure without my permission/dont know them very well, no.

Lets face FACTS.
Credit is polite and should be given.
However, ANYONE can edit/use ANY shared Creation.
there is NO SUCH thing as a "STOLEN" creation. PERIOD.
Spamming "take it down!" or "thief" probably just gets you laughed at.
EA created the game in a way where "stealing" is a integral part...and you bought it.

Really? The creation itself remains under your name, its use in game is essentially free advertisement. I love finding my creations in others adventures, especially those of people I don't know very well. It is a major compliment.

If somebody used my creation in an adventure I would be perfectly fine with that. If somebody just copied my work and then they got on the Featured/MPN with my creation that they either did nothing to change or made one small change I would be mad.
