Hmm, Space or Creature? I spend an absolutely ludicrous amount of time in both... They also seem to be the only ones that are still a ton of of fun even after you've reached the point where you can evolve, or reached the end of the progress bar in Space stage. Unless you have lots of Epics to hunt down in Tribal or Civ stage with your tribe or army, respectively.

I don't really hate space, I just rather replay the other stages (nine so far!) after I make 50m and could take over the galaxy if I was guaranteed I would not lose my sanity and was paid well by the hour and would play starcontrol 2 or some other form of space game afterwards and stick my creature's face on the computer screen since that is all your creature itself really does in space.

GOOD ... no .. GREAT Idea!! I think I'll try that.

I really think that the creators are the best feature of this game. The stuff you can create is simply incredible (check out my profile peeps!), but how it works in-game is limited and somewhat unsatisfying. Unless, of course, you run into an Epic of a well-made creature, which is pretty scary.

So... Creators FTW!!!

1. Space
2. Creature
3. Tribal
4. Cell
5. Civilization

Though I really loath Cell sometimes too, so it was a tossup as to which of those last two to actually list last.

ETA: Oh, forgot about the Creators, since I don't think of them as a stage. I usually either start off a play session or end a play session by doing one or two creations, whichever I'm in the mood for that day.

As the game is right now I like the Creature stage the best. I believe that I would like cell, tribal, and civ better if they weren't so close-ended. I feel like the only point of tribal and civ is to rush you towards space stage. They aren't enough of a stage in and of themselves. There are a ton of tribes on one planet when I visit it during space stage. I just wish I could spend more time there in my game.

My favorite stage must be space stage. it has many features that's all packed in your spaceship.

Now that I have some mods, I prefer space (oh and it also takes more than 30 minutes!!). Creature next, although it needs a lot of improvements.

You assume too much terrestrial...

Cell...it is the only stage in which survival is dependent on placement of parts and the likes.

The more I play, the more I realize how all of the stages are interconnected. At first, I thought it was a bit lame how each stage had nothing to do with the next, but I'm learning now that even though they are subtle, it's kind of neat to see how your actions in one stage affect the creatures in the future. So I have to keep going back to try new things, just to see how it all turns out. This game has a lot of rewarding subtleties that are easy to miss if you're too quick to judge or are in too much of a hurry to reach some misconceived ending. Every time I think I have a favorite stage, I get hooked on another.
