Yay, thank you for the patch! Figures that I just ran through the game through tribal on Hard mode. Now I feel like I should do it again... Darn the addiction!!

who cares about that. what about us players plagued with the start up crash bug? we cant even get the patch because we have to be logged into spore to get but we cant log in because it crashes on start up. I open up EA downloadeder all I get is a blank window.

No, it doesn't. Only the CC has a direct download.

To get the patch, launch the EA Download Manager to download and install it. If you didn't install the EADM when you installed Spore, you can get it from http://files.ea.com/downloads/eacore/eadm-installer.exe.

I don't want to hear anyone bring up Stardock. Stardock uses a download manager in order to avoid using DRM. We're forced to do both? F* that. I want a direct download or an automatic update that launches within Spore itself, not some separate EA garbage program. I bought a physical copy and I want patches that I can physically save to disc like I do with every other game I own.

i agree, i want quick easy recovery in case my system should fail. a separate program just to download? just offer us a direct download... sure we'll probably have a longer wait, but you know what, i'd rather do that than install another program that will eat up system resources.

Kinda disappointing, I was hoping they'd have fixed the corrupted save thing, so I could actually play the game. :/

So, I'm wondering. Will there be a direct download? Because for us people not privileged to have a Broadband connection at home will find it rather difficult to download a 90MB file on say ... I duno 28.8 Dialup like I have... My only option is to download this at work. I'm not going to install a game here just do get the EADM to work.

Unless EA wants to float me the $500 for satellite internet equipment + $80 monthly service fee.
