I had suspected that riding on creatures would be too complicated to implement, given the potential variety of sizes and shapes of player created creatures and captains... but some posters on the sporums had claimed that feature was going to be included. Glad to see the misinfo being cleared up.

Will be curious to hear just how mazes may impact the complexity limits. Each wall piece is very, very low in complexity... but it can be necessary to use quite a lot of them in order to construct any semblance of a reasonably challenging maze. I really do appreciate your taking the time to find out more re mazes for us!

Will you be judging these on presentation or idea? I like the contest but what are you judging. Maybe a rubric of some kind would be helpful...

I'm making my Story now. It uses Bio-Droids, Rebel Grox, and lots of Boom boom!

I might be attempting something... It depends on if I have enough time at hands to draw my idea for an Adventure.

Excellent. This contest sounds like a great idea... organizing my ideas and sketches right now!

And it does suck that certain countries/provinces are excluded, but I don't think that's the fault of Maxis. It more likely has to do with the laws in your own respective state/province/country/continent. Nobody at Maxis is sitting in front of a world atlas and saying, "Hmmm, Quebec? Nope. Europe? Sorry." lol Hopefully future contests can somehow find a way around that though, because there are incredibly talented people all over the world. Even within the boundaries of the United States, there are often contests like these in which residents of certain states are excluded due to their laws.

My question, and I think it's fairly important, is this:

Does our story and the corresponding storyboards require that it follow the format of Adventure Creator? For example, do I have to indicate every little trigger/key/event? I really just want to convey the story itself, rather than getting into the technical aspects of a program that I am not totally familiar with yet!

what I would like to know is whether it has to be in a storyboard format or it can be a comic because comics are much more fun to make and more entertaining to read...

... and I already made half a comic before I looked back at the contest and went Doh!

I will draw one up. Uber excited. And since I live out of the U.S, I'll ask ( if I win) to donate the card to charity.
