Well seems I can not win this, since I don't live in the US . I guess I have to check my own country's page, I hope there is something for us to win too .

I can definitely see a barrage of "three white blocks"-buildings/vehicles when we get close to 100 million...

Ya know, Im going to honestly laugh at the 100mil Spore Im sure. Im willing to bet it's gonna be just that. Lets celebrate 100mil pieces of SPORE. There is of course a small chance its decent. I give a generous estimate of 100K of actual quality Spores out there. Very very generous. Thats what, 0.1%? Woooooooooooooah! How about instead of this joyous celebration of junk we start caring about those 100K Spores that actually sell this game in numerous articles and magazines, hm? Maybe do a lil something against the rating abuse so rampant? Or better still, how about we pull the plugs on ridiculously annoying auto-downloads, or maybe make it so buddies+sporecasts is a viable option? How about we cut the auto-uploads? And clear the evos, clear the 3 pieces unpainted junk? THEN we can celebrate. Quantity eh? Its all a numbers game. Quality, now thats what matters.

Rant or no rant, its the truth, and someone had to say it.

While free is a magic word, I doubt I can keep up my Spore infatuation much longer. When I was into the Sims, I stopped after the first expansion pack. I always wonder if Spore will last 8+ years like The Sims did.

100 millionth is going to be a grey blob from the UK, which is a double whammy to this

Think about how late in the day it is, compared to how many we're at. Odds are it'll happen at 4AM EST, given the current patterns, and assuming it slows down a little at night.

At the earliest that puts it at midnight+ in anywhere in the continental US.

If you own the steam version of spore, will you get the steam versions of the games, or just the retail version. I would prefer not to have suckrom infect my new pc.

Seriously, there are probably people who specialize in lottery legal issues, they certainly are complicated enough to warrant it. I'm surprised they are able to include Canada (most companies don't), and in order to do even that, they have to exclude Quebec (at a guess, I'd say due to language laws, and their lottery laws). Once you move over to Europe and beyond, it gets progressively harder, and every country will require you to pay their lottery fees to register to hold a lottery in that country, and so on.

So, they really aren't kidding when they say there are legal issues involved, and I don't blame them.

As for the competition, I rather doubt I'll be making anything anyway, and even if I did, most of the prize is of no use to me anyway, so it's a non-issue. Still, I hope whoever wins it enjoys their prize.

We're blown away by the number of creations our community has shared on Sporepedia.

So fire up your imagination and share some more awesome creations. Be the creator that bumps up that number to 100 million for a chance to win an NVIDIA Graphics card, a standard copy of Spore,
and a copy of Spore Galactic Adventures when it
becomes available!

* wonders if it all a hoax*

I can see a spam apocolypse.....

Everyone will be anonyed if the winner is a colourless box. \

With the disaster that the Mech Challenge was, I'm sure this is real and it is clearly just as flawed; though the intention is good.

Well, I guess submissions slowed right down last night, we only managed to get 70,000 in 12 hours, which was a real slowdown considering we got about 400,000 in 12 hours just yesterday. I guess my prediction was a little off, so I still have a chance to enter!

I think it would have been better if this would just have been kept quiet.
It would be a lot nicer if they just picked out the creation that reaches the mark (crappy as it might be)
And announced it on the spore page, hyping it like this is just going to cause an eruption of bad creations at the mark. I think this way you almost make sure a bad creation wins.

Yeah. I think keeping it quiet would have been the best course of action in this context.
