Yeah, reading this makes me glad I purchased through D2D...because while the DRM crap is still in force (and still just as bad) at least when it extracts the install files, you get to choose where they go, so you can then easily toss em onto a CD ready to go, already extracted (what I ended up doing). As well as the fact that D2D doesn't charge you sales tax (like EA does) or a "extended download service" charge. I still download games from there that I've had for 2+ years.

Uhm, I don't think the EA Support who responded knew what they were talking about. I've burned my EADM copy just fine, and installed it from the CD onto my wifes computer. All the files you need (including the CD versions Autoplay) is located in ... er well, it's been pointed out;

Don't forget to copy your unlock code into a text document and keep it with the backup. And yes, EA customer support is terrible.


Just use your DvD Burners packaged software to burn it on a disk, and you should be good to go.
