Agree to a point, if the computer meets minimal requirements, then yes redund.
antiloop wrote:
* Gamers shall have the right to demand that games be released in a finished state.
* Gamers shall have the right to expect meaningful updates after a game's release.
Dissagree with the above two, mainly because the second conflicts with first. Give me a finished game. I don't expect free updates, unless its bug fixes
antiloop wrote:
* Gamers shall have the right to demand that download managers and updaters not force themselves to run or be forced to load in order to play a game.
100% Agree, All the software loaded should be printed on front of box, in font no smaller than maker's logo.
antiloop wrote:
* Gamers shall have the right to expect that the minimum requirements for a game will mean that the game will play adequately on that computer.
Agree, but they should document "bare" minimum requirements in-side for want to play with bare minimum functionality.
antiloop wrote:
* Gamers shall have the right to expect that games won't install hidden drivers or other potentially harmful software without their consent.
100% Agree, this one I believe is a law already in some states. (IMHO though buried in EULA does not count)
antiloop wrote:
* Gamers shall have the right to re-download the latest versions of the games they own at any time.
100% Agree, and if registered the game, should be able to access activation codes online with the registration account.
antiloop wrote:
* Gamers shall have the right to not be treated as potential criminals by developers or publishers.
Should be basic business practice
antiloop wrote:
* Gamers shall have the right to demand that a single-player game not force them to be connected to the Internet every time they wish to play.
* Gamers shall have the right that games which are installed to the hard drive shall not require a CD/DVD to remain in the drive to play.
I think a player should be able to play a game with either a CD-ROM in drive or logged to account. Some basic anti-piracy actions are acceptable.

MY personal additon, The ENTIRE EULA needs to be printed on the outside of the box and and for online purchases it needs to be viewable with any discriptions of the product.

I think, the EULA needs to get updated.

Its vageu, internationaly its not worth the paper it would get printed on.

Althoug the gamer's bill of rights sounds like a nice thing.
Its not really reasonable.
Needs a more down to earth up date. Not all of it.
But you can't ask the publishers to agree with all of it.

It would be nice if 75% of the promises that are made are kept to and a complete, mostly bug free game is released...

I know... wishful thinking.

I've got nothing again... well maybe just this..

Spode would like you all to know that he agrees with most of the Gamers' Bill of Rights.

Oh...and...BUMP!!

100% of the game at delivery should be there. But prior to release, I want the the developers shooting for the stars. Occationally they will get a couple.
