I believe the error is occurring due to an inability to set the new number of pageviews. This is probably caused by one of two scenarios:

1) Too many people are trying to view the thread at once (not likely)
2) The forum is becoming so large that it cannot keep up with the pageview demand (more likely)

That's the best diagnosis I can issue right now.

Edit: a new rule should be added:

"No posting threads that immediately request that they be locked."

I think people should wait a few days before deciding to request that their own thread be locked. It's spamming to, on the same day you post the topic, request it be locked.

I am having issues with sporepedia.

It's been working fine in opera today, but the day before, every time I'd try to do something, It'd revert to page one. For instance, lets say I am looking at featured or most popular, or even a specific user with alot of creatures. I sort them be animal, creature stage ect and press submit, then say I go to page 10. Once the page loaded, or sometimes when clicking on a creature to bring up it's download window, the page would refresh, take me back to page 1, in unsorted mode. It worked in firefox just fine, but was slower, by alot. Today, it worked fine in opera. The opera bug was duplicated in IE8.


Long names on creatures and such from the main sporepedia make you unable to click on the users screename. You need to click on the creature to bring up it's window, then do it. Needs to be fixed. Does this in firefox, IE8, and opera.

In maxthon, both 1.xx and 2.xx versions, when you mouse over a creature it simply dissapears. Lets say you mouse over the entire first row of that page and make all the cards vanish, when you go to the next page, the creatures or items stay vanished in those positions.

Trying to search sporepedia from spore itself, after installing the 5.1 and cute and creapy I get error on search. Cannot connect to server. Which is odd since I can download creatures and browse just fine.

The feedback forum is broken.

I have already told this Parkaboy via PM. Does anyone know who the admin of this forum is, who could repair it?

It would be nice to have PMs stored into pages like normal posts instead of being in one big page which takes ages to load.

After going through an archetype change mission from bard to shaman in space stage using my ‘main’ captain, he now displays on the web Sporepedia as a wanderer. It's a bit of a pain, because I don't like it looking like I just picked him up in space when I actually played from the start with his race.

This also happens, if you start with any other stage than the cell stage. My captain should be knight (and he is a knight in the game), but in the online Pedia, he is shown as wanderer

I wish there was an "off-topic" forum where I could talk about something not related to spore.

I would really like the most popular creations in sporepedia to filter out adventures, much like the most popular adventures filters out creations. I'm not nearly as interested in the top 4 creations as I am in the stuff way down through the 100s. About then I hit pages and pages of adventures which means I don't get to see the interesting things people are making, without considerable work and load time.

I enjoy looking through the adventure pages to search for interesting new adventures. I'd like to do that with the non-adventure creations as well.

Would it be possible at all to add a feature within your tab on your myspore page to have a sporepedia page that filters just your buddies creations in the same way you can filter everything else. I try to comment on as much of their stuff as possible, and it takes ages sometimes as I have to scroll through my buddy oist on the side (which is sometimes cut off so i cannot see them all).

Surely it is possible, and would be a nice feature for others like me who like to give feedback as much as possible to those we have subbed too.

I see in the rules that all topics need to relate to spore, but most of the science section doesn't even though several threads in the Science section have been locked for it. Also, most threads in the RP section have nothing to do with spore. I am confused on this rule.

Aquatic threads should be locked on sight by now. They are like the most duplicated thing ever. Why are they excempted from the guidelines?
