Two races with the same name?

The second race I allied with in my current space game was called the "Wurbles." The're a very giggly sort of race ... I think one time they thanked me for my "ability to deal with furry things."

I sold a ton of spice (saved up ~15mil) and made a move closer to the center of the galaxy. Established some colonies and made some alliances there ... eventually made a suicide run for the center XD

Anyways, I get back and am surprised to see a new race encroaching on my home world. They're warlike (I get the "you're in our security zone" alert) so I decide I shouldn't just ignore them.

When I go to contact them, their name is .... the Wurbles. >.<

Same critter, but this one's got angry armor all over it and is OBVIOUSLY not allied with the Wurbles they live right next door to.

Is this common? Do I have to worry about more "Tudyks" showing up and attacking me? I HAVE been dropping non-sentient versions of my critter on every single planet that can support it ...

I have the same problem, a race with the same name as mine, but with a different hat on... They're constantly attacking me and it's quite confusing.

I'm getting the same thing in my game too. I have 2 "Meenko" empires around my homeworld (1 bunch of spode heads and 1 are traders) and 3 empires of these cute little guys called Fuzzits (scientists, traders and can't remember the third). It's so confusing! And I'm a little annoyed with all the repetition, considering the fact that there's millions of creatures in the Sporepedia!?
It would be great if they could include something to reduce repetition in the patch.

(BTW I am playing online, with no restrictions as far as content.)

Same here... except with a twist.

I had a race of the SAME CREATURE I AM right next door... but they had only gotten to the Civ stage.

I ended up having to... um... remove them, after I monolithed them and then they wouldnt sell me their system. So now the Jilaram Empire destroyed the Jilaram Empire. Very silly.

i found this glitch before, very annoying...... very very very annoying.

It's not a glich, simply populated content.

DINGDINGDING WE HAVE A WINNER!!! I SERIOUSLY wonderd how long before that came up there is NO "they split" There is just ANOTHER one of them.

And no animals don't evolve on their own.

I've had the monolith glitch out and make another empire of my race.
But instead of warriors they were spodies.

I've also seen two gooplet empires. One traders and one warriors.

5 yes 5 Grox empires, all made by me.
