I should point out that it's not the first time its happened, he recently pulled out of a contest because apparently there was "something wrong with the voting poll" where he got 7 votes in less then half hour of the poll going up and he thought he would "do the right thing" and withdrawal from the contest....
It just takes the excitement out of winning a contest and its not fair on anybody else

I didn't come close to cheating, I even voted for for techno

Don't know about any cheating. both techno and comtek (moreso comtek) got more votes after I mentioned this Pole was up in the BBS thread in Creator Corner. But that is expected since there are BBS people in the finals and of course the others in that will vote for the people they know.

besides, comtek has a feature already from his CRS ship. Not worth the effort in my opinion.

ComTek, I believe you when you say you are not cheating... however, you must admit that it is very strange that two polls recently that you have been involved in seem very skewed... You must have a secret fanclub or something.

I voted for cody by the way.

I make it about 15 mins left as well.

That's exactly what the problem is....Vote on the creation and not the creator.

There shouldn't be polls in Maxis contests, or really any contests at all. They are incredibly biased.

I try to be unbiassed in my voting and vote for the best creation, or my fave. When it comes to Maxis ones I tend to vote for lesser creators though to give them a chance to be a featured - rarely works, though i did vote for cody in this. In my own contests, I do what maxis does and create a shortlist. Although I do limit the shortlist to ten.
