I need more drive. Should I continue making Tren and release an adventure? I'm stumped.
(For those of you that haven't seen any of my Tren creations.)

Any thoughts?

Welcome to the club...we had jackets once...and cookies...we're out.

hmm tips, well the best way i fid being a beter creator is by Dissecting! see a creation you like and curious how they made it, Dl it and take it apart it really gives u an inside look.

oh yea get davo's mods...omg the darkinjection mod....soo soo soo soo soo soos soo many parts...it's a sporegasm...seriously.

bu you said your going to keep with spore with its vanila state I recomend at least getting the building mod, it makes it so you can rotate the bas blocks and roof blocks without doing the dumb glitch. worth doing, trust me.

Yes, Dark Injection is one of the best mods I've ever seen! The only thing that bothers me is sometimes my stuff gets to complex to share, so I have to keep taking parts off and making parts down the midline asymmetrical just so I can share it!

Oh, that's another tip for you, Kirbyarm. If you have the asymmetry patch and your complexity meter is getting in the way, you can make parts that are down the midline (aren't split into two, like mouths usually are) asymmetrical to lower complexity. Just hold down "A" and click on the part (don't drag!). The part will look like it's still normal, but it will only take half the complexity! If you haven't hit the complexity roadblock yet, trust me, you will and hate it! I use this method all the time now, like in that Triceratops I showed you, his face, part of his frill (made out of limbs), and his tail (also made out of a limb) are all asymmetrical.

Also going off of that, once you get the hang of the creature editor, you can find that limbs can be used for much more than arms and legs. Take apart some of my dinos to see what I mean, I often use them to shape their bodies to be more realistic. Of course, you just started Spore, so don't worry to much about using these techniques yet! Just something to think about for the future.

And TalentWasted is right, you should at least get the building rotation mod. It doesn't do much (it gives you more rotation handles for the main building parts), but it is definitely worth it. The rotation limit on buildings frustrated me a lot before I got the mod.

Oh, another advanced limb trick to look into in the future, the invisible limb glitch. It will take too long to describe how to do it here (just look it up on youtube for a tutorial), but there's a glitch that allows you to make limbs invisible. You can use this to make fish that look like they're swimming or birds that are flying. Here's two of my creations to show you what I mean:

Fish movement (first one that pops up in the list): http://www.spore.com/sporepedia#qry=advasrch-lake%20iliamna%20monster%3Afi-name%2Cauthor%2Ctags%2Cdescription%3Afl-NONE

Flying movement (again, first creature): http://www.spore.com/sporepedia#qry=advasrch-thunderbird%20tklarenb%3Afi-name%2Cauthor%2Ctags%2Cdescription%3Afl-NONE

If you don't see what I mean at first when looking at them, just try adding a foot, and you'll notice you'll be able to add it in what is seemingly thin air. Then just drag the foot back until the invisible limb intersects the body, and it should reappear again. Again, look on youtube for a more detailed description, just search "invisible limb glitch".

Okay, I'm out of advanced creature tips for you (for NOW ) !
