Alternative download locations for people who can't get the EADM has been common since the earliest spore patches. This is no different.

Yup, this is pretty much correct. If you get the Bot part logo on your Spore.com profile page you can download the files and install them from a third party location. SimProgram's files are copy of what is downloaded from EADM.

Well how about if I do the reverse? I have downloaded the files from SimPrograms, but obviously I can't upload anything with the parts. Could I use one of these re-usable codes to get the button on my page and upload creations with bot parts? Or will it be necessary to reinstall Spore first?

Thanks

Since your spore profile shows the robopart icon, you can go to
http://www.simprograms.com/dr-peppereas-spore-1-06-patch-and-14-mech-parts-download/
And manually download the parts patch.
It's be not official.

That is, if I download this patch I can publish creations because I have picture Bot Parts?

You have the bot part logo at http://www.spore.com/view/profile/andy1295 so yes, you can publish bot parts, once they are installed on your Spore game.

If you got the third party files and installed them first you should be able to redeem a code via the drpepper.com website and have it work, to my understanding. Do go ahead and try the 7-11 codes and see if you can successfully redeem one to get the bot part logo on your spore.com profile. In the end you need a bot part logo at http://www.spore.com/view/profile/Delta317 next to the other game logos.

I always go to the Dr. Pepper website and whenever I click Code History and click the link and log in without the Remember Me setting I always get the "You need to redeem the..." page.

What else have you tried? Did you try clearing temporary files and cookies on your web browser? Did you try using a different web browser? Read through the first post and follow all the troubleshooting steps there.

I HAVE ERROR 500 ON DOWNLOADING PAGE, I CAN'T DOWNLOAD PATCH...

If you already tried all steps mentioned in the first page you can try:
a) contacting help.spore.com
b) getting it off a third-party site, it should work
c) both

Seriously try the suggestions first, including switching browsers.

It should be noted that "ERROR 500" errors are errors on the web server and not an error with the user's browser. So changing browsers or clearing the browser cache/cookies isn't very likely to fix the problem.

The 500 Internal Server Error means that "The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request". So in this case there is a problem with their database or in communicating to EA's servers that you have redeemed the code. It is something that needs to be fixed by EA/Dr. Pepper.

While error 500s start as server errors they often linger on the user's computer well after the error is fixed. Often they are temporary errors that go away in a few minutes or a few hours. When the browser's cache isn't cleared those temporary internet files save the error 500 page and continue to refer to it even when the error is no longer on the live page. That is why we suggest clearing temp files and trying a different browser. Now, a chronic error 500 that EVERYONE is getting all the time for hours at end is something that the webmaster must fix. If only one person is affected then likely they are in the situation of having the error website cached on their individual computer and they must take the required troubleshooting steps to correct it.
