Answering your feedback about Spore Online Accounts

Hmm. I'm still waiting for any news on how this is developing. The sooner this is fixed, the less unhappy I'll be.

This feature sounds excellent. I assume it will not apply on the forums, however? That might be a bit much to ask, I suppose. (Would be useful though.)

Still no word on when this will be implemented? Poor show.

It would be nice to get an official word on when we can expect this feature.

two words maxispeople: cheat. codes. And the fact that I dont get acheivements when I use them! annoying! I know how busy you are, but if you look up "cheats" in the forums, a good many people agree with me. Thanks for your consideration.

WHEN ?! The ''Mythic'' Multiple Screen Names (5 per game's account)... will appear ?

They said : We are going to add the ability to have multiple Spore Screen Names for any one Spore Online Account. (09/17/2008 23:53:21)... It has been a while since their announcement.

Now I have 2 people on the same account (but on 2 different computers)... and I wonder what will happen when we will be able to have 2 separate screen name... with our creatures ?

Well done Maxis and EA! Being new to Spore myself, and reading the forum thread about this subject, I had gotten a bit disappointed when reading all the furious posts. Now I am happy to see the game developers actually working on changing things to make people happy. I'm starting to get impressed. Thanks, now I can tell my kids positive change is on the way!

It has been almost a Month since this "Idea" was anounced.

Where have the Maxis people gone? and why can't someone stick there head in and say...

"The multiple account idea was only on the drawing board....it will take us awhile to implement"

or at least give us an Idea of when it might be applied to the game....a stick with out a carrot ussaly turns into a club!!!

I really wish that "achievements" becomes resetable. I don't have a problem of anyone playing in my PC, but once I get enough achievements, it would be nice to play from square 1 anytime the player wishes to.

I have a question not related to achievements: If I delete my creations, are they deleted for everyone ? (I mean, what about people who have already downloaded my content while it was on-line, and then, I delete it from my PC, will that creature still be available to the people who have already befriended it or are on war with it ? Or the game from others will become corrupted because creations were deleted ?)

I thought of that 'cause I don't know how it works, and I also don't know if this will affect not only other people's games, but also their screen names (downloaded material, information like "john doe befriended creature A" at mysporepage.com, etc...).

Were the promises of recrediting uninstalls and being able to have several screen-names per account mere lies from EA, or have they given us some reason to believe them?

I'm understandably frustrated about the time this is taking to implement this. Seems to me someone with any knowledge of code could release a patch to remove the one online account limit and just let people play the game.

So what about our current creations? Will we be able to decide which account they get allocated to? (and planets)

I just don't want all my sister's current stuff in the same account as mine.

(And, of course, aorry if this has already been answered. I'd rather not scrutinize thirteen pages of posts)

Good news: we've got a new pach, seems to be good.

Bad news: so far, we cannot create multiple logins, even with the patching.

I would assume this would be as easy as signing in on the new account, opening up the old creation, saving it and voila, now it's got the new accounts name on it already.... this pretty much already happens in the old system.

A quick update on this feature...

We have been working on a first pass at a solution for this problem and are currently testing it and fixing bugs and usability problems we've run into.

We are hoping to resolve the open issues and get this out in the next couple weeks along with documentation about how to use the new system.

Thank you for your patience. We're as eager to get this out as you are to have it.
