I decided to go for the Bio-Engineer achievement. So I bought 25 tweakers, went to my home planet, selected the first creature in the eco-slots, found one, tweaked the guy...then the game uploaded the result. Seriously?

It's bad enough that people purposefully steal creations, why do Maxis FORCE people to be thiefs? That just...R-word.

I better play off-line until I can get this one so I don't accidentaly steal stuff. I just thought that I warn you guys to the dangers of the auto-upload and maybe talk some sense into the Maxis developers about this colossal mistake.

No words just how dreadfully pathetic this auto-upload option is.

Yeah you nee to be able to toggle it off. In the mean time, delete the creature you accidentally stole

Ooo thx for the warning!

Its funny isn't it; we can't upload the things that we want to and we can't stop uploading the things that we don't!

I only made one tweak before I discovered this so I deleted that in an instant. I tweaked the rest in offline mode and uploaded the achievement aftewards.

I agree completely. The auto-upload "feature" needs to have at least some options!

After an epic uprising:

Maxis responds:

But this still has yet to be fixed (also make spore like it was supposed to be!)

I add a "improved" or a "mutated" or an "Optimus" to the original creature name to tell that I have edited that creature... But in the most case my "optimied" creature always look very differant than the original...
like this for example

Optimus Pfuffe

Original: Pfuffe

Optimus Kaltion

Original: Kaltion

Optimus Flattergon

Original: Flattergon

Although it's hard to tell ingame, beware of any creature with a sporepedia card that's lit from underneath. Some can be unique creations created in the creature creator tool (as my pigwiggle are) but this lighting effect is also present on the tweaked creatures.
