In tribal phase, use spearmen and try and micro them, backing off when the creature attacks one. Keep your others fanned out and try not to let too many people die.

In civ phase..I won't lie..You're going to lose a lot of vehicles. No way around it. Just make sure you have a good, steady income, and roll in your military ground vehicles, and replace them as they go down.

In creature phase, it's a bit trickier. As I'm sure you've noticed, an epic can one-shot you, every time. It will one-shot your rouges too, so if you're fond of them, dismiss them before you go epic hunting. You ARE going to want a pack, though.

First, tailor your evolution. You're going to want rank 5 spit, and 4-5 in strike and bite, and high speed. Why do you want melee attacks? I'll explain later. You're also going to want rank 4-5 in glide, and either a good rank in jump, or sneak. Both if you really want. Sprint is also useful.

Next, choose your epic. Epic creatures aren't like their normal counterparts. A lot of their stats don't matter. For example, an epic never uses spit (At least it didn't when I killed one with 5 ranks in it) and it will kill you instantly with an attack, so its ranks in bite or strike don't matter. It also always has 1000 health no matter what. What does matter is if it has graspers. You want that, because if it has hands, it will do this attack where it grabs someone and shakes them around for a while, then throws them. The whole time its doing this, it is NOT stomping your pack to death, and they're mauling its legs off. So you get a lot of free hits in if it has graspers. Wings are important, too. Epics can and will fly, and you do not want that. I would suggest only hunting epics that don't fly.

Now the actual fighting. First, summon flock if you can, have a full pack, and wave a fond farewell to them all because they're dead creatures walking. Target the epic, and use spit, and watch them all run off to their doom. Under no circumstances should you get close to the epic, because it will always go after you if it can. You stay at range and use spit, and hope your pack does decent damage. Soon enough they'll die, and this is when you'll want to run. If it gets too close, jump and fly. If you're lucky, you'll jump higher than it can attack, and you'll be able to get away. Try flying over trees and rocks that it has to run around in order to keep distance between you two, and whenever you get ahead far enough, stop and poison it. What you're aiming for is to bring it to one of your nests.

You might have noticed that if an epic gets near a nest of creatures, they'll run in terror. Your nests are an exception. If it gets around your people, they'll attack. This is why you want a high level of bite and strike. It isn't for you, it's for the others of your species that will close in. When you get to one of your nests, kite it around in a circle. If your speed is high enough, you should be able to stay ahead of it, and use sprint when it does get too close. Whenever its attention leaves you, shoot it again to get it back. You want it attacking you, not killing your nest mates. If it does kill them all off, you may need drag it off to give them a chance to respawn. If you're lucky, your nest mates should be doing pretty good damage (Along with your flock whenever you can resummon them) and before too long, it should be down to about 40 or so. At that point, you want to drag it away from your nest again. See, if another creature lands the killing blow, you don't get the achievement. So what you want is to drag it away from your nest and to some trees or rocks that you can run around. If you're lucky it'll get stuck in them. If not, just make sure you're on the opposite side of whatever you can put between you and it, and keep your poison up on it. Soon enough, it'll drop, and you'll have a tasty epic meal.

you can also kill an epic by just getting it stuck in trees and spitting at it. just prey your a hebivore or an omnivore and there are fruit bushes nearby. it takes a vary long time, but the joy of killing the epic is worth it.

Sure it is possible to kill an epic in creature stage, I've done it many times. It is also possible to make friends with an epic and have it as a member of the flock. I have both audio and video evidence ...

hedjeroo wrote: Otherwise, just have any level of Spit (higher the better) and keep kiting it

Hmmm, Spit is good weapon, expcept if the epic have also spit-ability(It kills with one shot). So, even if you ran away or it gonna stuck between trees, it can kill you with spit. I've died because of that many times. But there is another strategy: Shoot from its back. When it tries turn watching you, it get poison its butt. This work, but it maybe don't if epic have spit-weapon in its butt

If you are from Finland, send pm for me. I'd like to talk somebody finnish guy in this english-speaking place

This is kinda redundant, but....

Cell: Epics have white health bars and just sit there. They have individual weaknesses;
Stabber=spike
Puffish=electric
snorf=proboscos
and so forth.

Creature: For the most part, spit & run. If you're lucky you can get the epic trapped in trees to the point it will turn away from you and you can slip in a charge + strike attack. Level 1 epic bites do 100 damage, so be sure to have a health part. Anything higher than 1 will be sudden death. Should the epic pick you up, it will roar, nibble on your head, and throw you far away. You'll take damage, but it isn't fatal.
Patience is the key here, 1000 is a lot of health. When it dies, you get a whopping 100DNA and a feast.

Tribe: 11 tribe members (And chiefy if you like) epuiped with spears. Before the epic is going to stomp a tribe member, press 3 to scatter the tribe.

Civ: There 3 things you can do. The first option is to swarm it with military vehicles, preferably air. If using land, you're going to need a pretty signifigant advantage over it.

The second option is to bomob it, or if you have the time and money, nuke it.

The third option [My personal favorite] is to charm the epic. Bring three or so religeous vehicles to play music for the epic. It will not attack, but follow the vehicles for a while, perfect for bringing it to that just-too-tough city.

Space: Antimatter bomb, laser, planet buster, and so forth-anything goes.
"Hey epic, feel the wrath of my deadly happy ray!"
...well almost anything.

Pull it off, and you have an epic win. [and possibly an achievement]

You can, but you don't want to. Once you get to space stage, they attack any ships trying to attack your planet. If your planet has epics and your cities have turrets, you almost don't have to defend it. There's a tool in space stage to make epics but I don't remember what it's called. I'm not sure but you might have to use some other tools to ally/befriend the epic after you make it.

There are multiple ways to kill an epic
1. The most common way, kite the epic(or in other words, using spit lead it) to your nest, and then let it kill you, if it's spawn area is not too close, you will respawn with the epic on top of you, and more nest members to help you. Spit at the epic creature and ensure that other nest members attack it. Eventually, it will be around 50 to 30 in HP. This is when you run up to it and start beating on it to ensure you get credit.

2.This is another way to kill it, but it takes forever. Kite it using spit, but don't guide it to your nest, just go around spitting it without letting yourself die

3.Similar to 2, but you gotta get the epic stuck in some foliage or a landform, it willl be unable to move, and you can spit it untill it dies.

4.Sometimes awhile kiting your epic you meet another epic. Have the two epics battle, and the survivor of the battle should be weakened. Finish the now weakened epic off, and you can get credit for it
