I've been having trouble loading shared creations into my Spore editor. I've save the PNG from the Sporepedia, and when I drag it to my appropriate editor, I get an error message "This creation cannot be loaded".

I am also having problems in sharing some creations, I will click on the share button in Spore, and I will get a confirmation notice saying the creation was successfully shared, but the creation does not appear on My Spore Page.

I've come to believe this is due to creations using parts from either the exoskeleton patch or the Cute and Creepy expansion or both. Yet I see creation with these parts being shared, so others can share.

Has anyone else had these problems and if they've been fixed, how?

Do you own C&C ? Have you upgraded to Spore 1.03? If not, those parts will not be usable for you.

I have C&C installed, and although I cannot see what version of Spore I have (cannot find where this is in the game), I do have the Exoskeleton parts installed. All of these parts are available to me to use, and I have many creations using them. It seems I cannot share any of my creations that use those parts, or download shared creations that use those parts. I have successfully shared creations since I have installed C&C and patched Spore, but only creations without those parts. Even the paint jobs of C&C prevent me from sharing.

I had to regen the Pollination file and rename the MVJCache folder is seems, but now I can share creations that use the exoskeleton parts. I did not test the C&C parts, I should have while in Game, I will test later.

On a note, regen the Pollination caused most of my creations not to appear under My Creations in the Game Sporepedia. They do appear under the Recent Downloads or Everything, so they are there, and still on My Spore Page, its just a matter of downloading them and making a change to have appear in My Creations again I think.

It seems that I still cannot load download PNG creations from the Sporepedia or share creations that use C&C parts.

Any other help?

You may need to do an uninstall as highlighted in the FAQ, the manual uninstalls, but before that, just make sure none of this is possibly at fault.

To get your My Creations to update, remove all sporecasts and buddies and rename pollination.package. This will give the game time to just download your creatures, it may take a little while. Once done, you can add the buddies back.

I know it is because of Complexity, Cheat, Tags, Naming, Description, or Invisible or Asymmetrical Parts. After following the Package Regeneration steps, I tested it with new creations. I did not use any cheats, nothing more then a pair of legs and a mouth, no tags or descriptions, name was randomly picked, and I do not do Invisible or Asymmetrical parts.

I used the first body created in the editor, put a pair of legs on, and a mouth. I gave it a random name, saved and shared it. Then I swapped parts for a C&C part, exoskeleton, and core part, until I creations that were all core, C&C, etc... saving each one and sharing. The only ones that were not shared successfully were creations with C&C parts.

Would a manual uninstall of the game correct this then?

Yes, it should. Make sure to do the manual uninstall of Cute and Creepy which is a separate list of steps, and do the Spore manual uninstall.
