Also does getting all four parts in a set give you that archetype power?
Then can you have each power? (which would be epic)
actually, you can only level up 10 times, and thus only get 10 items

Q: When you set the behavior for a creature (wander radius, peaceful/aggressive, chatter text, etc) does it universally apply to all instances of that creature, or can you set individuals to behave differently?
Depends what you want.
1. If you want to make a bunch of creatures that look the same with different behaviors, use multiple slots on the cast palette.
2. If you want to make a bunch of creatures that look the same with the same behavior, use just one slot on the cast palette, but drag multiple instances of the creature into your world. Edits made to the behavior of one will be applied to all.

Why isn't it possible to give the same kind of creatures/creations different behaviors or speech/captions? This is throwing a monkey wrench in my adventure.

And how can we make so that a goal won't apply to all cast members/creations when you set it? For example; if you set a goal to examine a console in the back of a room but there are others (similar ones) to the side, it applies the goal to all the consoles. That kind of beats the purpose of adding suspense in epic proportions.

Since we can apply a behavior or speech/caption to a creation per act, it would be even better if we could do that for only one of them.

I see what you're saying, and agree, though I think you have figured out how to get around this: you have to load multiple instances of the same prop. So, you load the normal consoles or whatnot, and then you load another instance of that console object, solely for the purpose of the goal.

However, I agree... that seems unnecessarily complex.

Another thing, regarding complexity... has anyone else experienced THIS?

I have found that since installing GA, all of the Editors have, I dunno how to say it... a lower graphics threshold? What I mean is, overall, regardless of whether I'm making an Early Creature or a whole Adventure, my graphics settings have to be set lower or else I get corrupted textures. Before GA, I could have my graphics settings higher, but now, they are pathetically low by default, or else corruption :/

Galactic Adventures... looks like it's going to be another non-tanned summer!

The consoles was a simple example, but with that method you reduce your variety quite quickly the more complex you make the mission.

I have a whole bunch of cast members of the same stature I'd like to have different captions and those might include a goal, plus I need to add quite a lot of other creatures.

That's from the patch, it made the graphics in the editor, the viewer and in-game the same and that means better for in-game and worse for the editor.

Let's say I have two creatures. We'll call them "cop" and "dude" just to keep it simple. All I want is for cop and dude to wander freely. If the player shoots the cop or the dude, though, I want to make all of the cops aggro toward the player.

Ok, so I know that you can right click and drag to move the view around, and that you can use the < and > buttons to spin the view, and that you can use the scroller on the mouse to scroll in and out, but how do you move the view up and down? Like so you're looking at the planet kinda flat, or looking straight down at it. How do you move the view this way? (And yes, I've used the search button, watched the tutorial videos, and the in game tutorials didn't work for me)

From what I have gathered, that can only be done with a middle mouse button

Hey there, tis is my second day with GA and I'm about to finish up my first Adventure for upload but I have two questions I'd like answered beforehand, if possible:

- I've made a creature into an Epic [to be used as a statue], set awareness to 0, made him Mindless and set movement to stationary but in Quick Play he's still moving! How do you freeze creatures in place [if you can]

- Also, I've looked on here and at Gamefaqs, but is there really no way of us non-middle mouse users [I have a ball mouse] of scaling our adventure stuff. I could in Spore itself because it had the option right there in front of you. So... any reason it was tucked away / taken away for non-middle mouse users in GA?

How do you add timers, such as, survive for 3 minutes? I know how you can add timers that make you fail after 3 minutes, but how do you use the other kind?

When I try to play an adventure, It wont let me play as any captains that have captain parts. (at least I think that's the problem) This stinks because It basically means that I can't use any of the cool new abillities unless there is a set captain for the adventure. Sorry if this is a repeat question, but I searched all the FAQs I could find and didn't feel like searching the entire thread.

Yeah, back to the original page by MC...

I downloaded the manuals, expecting maybe something new or different lol But I've already got the manual from when I bought the game, and it's really lacking in information. Also, the Manuals.zip file doesn't include a version for English anyways lol

You can only play adventures with a captain if (s)he's either preset or by leveling up a non-captain creature of your choice.

You have to earn the abilities.

we think we are choosing a Captain for the level, but i find it hard to know for sure that the creature is a Captain. has anyone else seen this message come up? what are we doing wrong?
many thanks.

You are choosing your captain fine, you just need to place him into your world to the the place you want him to start his adventure.

To add to this correct comment, he means that you need to grab whatever captain you are using from the bottom right corner of the screen and physically drag him/her/it/daunstoppable1 onto wherever you want him/her/it/Didzo to spawn
