The Nurple

In the days of the Spore Creature Creator Trial edition, pre-Spore, there was a simple Creature known as the Nurple. The Nurple are a highly paranoid species. They are certain, from birth, that everyone is out to get them. It is popular at a young age to have weaponry surgically implanted to defend themselves.

The concept excited the imagination of dozens of creators and left the Sporum overwhelmed with challenges and references to the Nurple Empire. Their goal to eliminate the threats in the Galaxy to themselves. This included everything from Death Rays that would destroy Galaxies down to fluffy bunnies. As a result, more than a hundred different types of Nurple Came into being from a number of Creators.

A couple examples of what followed were The Trusting Nurple, The Nurple Dreath Ray, and The KadotusXII Nurple (by DoomNova)

When Spore was officially released, I had to walk away for over a year due to RL needs, but the Nurple are still alive and strong in my creations, still Paranoid beyond all reason, and advancing their technology daily. Recently, they have gone so far as to form The Space Cop Empire, an offshoot of the True Nurple Empire. Let us hope their recruits show all the promise of their predecessors. (I like to think my technique has improved.)

I have to ask...how do you guys make such cool and complicated looking creatures without making the complexity meter fill up?

They either use a cheats, mods, or they are really good.

i hear using limbs instead of spine helps save completicion

I generally push the limit of the complexity meter. I make the creature itself such that it is maybe 2-4 bubbles into green and then go nuts with layered outfitting to build a skeletal structure and cover it to the desired form. Takes a bit of time.

If you aren't interested in pushing the limits though, you can always use the freedom console command. I try to avoid it.

You can't use those creations in game.

That's too bad they can't be used...does the game freak out or does it just refuse to import it?

My three ship is very cool and they have Galaxy names.

Galaxy Star Cruiser, Rafa Nadal Galaxy and Quplomine Galaxy
