Totally understandable (bandwidth)..

Could you split the vehicle part capabilities out into it's own feed? <not neccessary, but might save on network bandwidth, since I don't care about parts w/o capabilties -- or do most of the parts have capabilties anyway, so it's almost as big of a list?> I'm thinking (see if you agree).. that an XSL Transformation on both the vehicle and the capability XMLs would yield the capabilities for that vehicle. There's got to be a way to do it (just don't know off top of my head... I think I'll try some quick examples today to see if my theory is correct).

Are the Speed, Defense and Power numbers? Will I just sum them to get my stats, or do I have to come up with numbers for each part then do something... I guess if you just add that, I can figure it out.

If it's not too much trouble, having the building aesthetics XML would be nice... It actually fits in quite nicely with my idea for my game, which leads me to my next question...

I'd love to run some of my ideas past you... I'm in a very early stage, but would love to get some feedback from you guys. I'd rather not post the idea yet (as it's so early), but would want some community feedback once I'm a little further along. If you agree, I'll PM you once I get some of these ideas onto paper.

First off, congrats on the new site design and the first posting of a Galactic Adventure called “The Wonders of Spore.” I can’t wait to get my hands on Galactic Adventures!

I was happy to find that the first posted adventure appeared on qualityspore.com. Check it out: http://www.qualityspore.com/CreationViewer.htm?id=300001149112. It has introduced some bugs that I will happily fix!

I also noticed that the adventure supports a “Info about an asset” API:

“Special Searches” API also seems to work:

Are there any other Galactic Adventures related APIs? Is there going to be an API that shows the details of an adventure? (i.e. difficulty, number, captain, adventure leaders, etc.)

This feed no longer works if you have more then 500 subscriptions

Then you'd need to request it multiple times. Look at the <count> element to know how many times you need to request it.

There doesn't seem to be any indication of jumping or GA statistics in the creature stats API. For example, http://www.spore.com/rest/creature/500381669588 should have all attack stats at 1 (or 6 if you want to be more correct than the game)

What is "sense" doing in the creature stats API, by the way?

Just a quick question: Since the random feed allows a starting and ending number, would adding a random starting number make it more random (because the Spore.com server and my server would have a different random seed) or just waste time? (Is the random feed's start parameter used to help seed the randomness, ignored completely, or used for some other purpose?)

its only for the PC platform. Spore hasn't reached its full potential yet, so bear with maxis, because they are doing their best to make the game community happy.

1.C&C: Spore creature creator starter kit (disc)
2.Spore (disc)
3.Spore Creepy & Cute expansion (disc)
4.Spore galactic adventure expansion (disc)
5.Spore Botz expansion. (Dr pepper promo) (download)
6.Dark injection expansion version 7.0.8 mod. (thanks to davopotomus)
Note: I know what all made it to an actual retail disc. (Yes I do keep track of what comes out)
what not made it to disc for PC and console?

hi we recently Finally bought the spore game for pc (YAY!!) but we've discovered a problem.. only one of us can log on. my husband tried to create a spore account to be able to start a game too and he was unable to! is there a way to fix that? or can only one person per household play this?????

The coding of securom only allows one person to make a spore account with their EADM. Try going onto spore.com and creating an alt for your husband.
