Suddenly, I want to make a very cute knight race now.

All I have in my creations right now is a very muppet-like Pirate.

Knight and bard are "the best" two, and the ones I like, but I've actually never done them. My only space empire is an all green Shaman.

Really, Red in Cell, and Green in Tribe are what I shoot for, as you can't duplicate those bonuses any way else.

Red in cell though only helps with weapon energy use (Unless you're going to be fighting 2 or 3, T3 worlds back to back it shouldn't be an issue. Even then energy recharges cost less than it does to recharge planetside of a non-owned world.), terraforming and stuff is still full energy cost, as are shields and cloaking.

Blue in Creature is an oft overlooked bonus, most people opt for the extra hitpoints by taking Red, but only in hard mode are you in any risk of dying anyway in a firefight, and even then 1,500 hitpoints will see you through usually (I fought an extensive campaign vs the grox with only 1,500 and no allies), but 33% faster ship means you can realisticlly respond to attacks from other races or eco-disasters the other side the galaxy nearly without missing the timer or taking forever.

Carnivore, Predator, Social, Religious, Zealot.
