What kind of chip do you have in there, a Dorito?

I've seen rain in creature phase, though only aesthetic. I've only seen it on mid-high graphic settings, not low-mid. But yes, MORE weather would be awesome

lol i loved commodore 64 games. they were primitive but they had content. they were also very slow to load. i think it's a revival happening on the slow part now

Would definitely be possible, but I imagine the game in its current state couldn't handle it on most rigs. You think the game hogs memory now? Toss worldwide weather simulation into the mix, unique for each planet (so that, say, Venus is perpetually stormy, as it should be).

Mine probably wouldn't have a problem (8 gigs of ram, woo!) but for people who think 2 gigs of ram is "enough," it'd just crash that much faster.

I could see ice ages or deserts being cool within certain areas or planets, but I think generally some kind of weather variant or season change would be pretty fun too! Not to say to put it in a permanent dry spell or blizzard, but just to go through the warm and cold times in more realistic ways.

We will get this feature in expansion pack number 5 "Spore Seasons"

The castle crumbles from within. Outsiders will not notice till the last of the walls come down.

My daughter when playing the creature phase has a storm complete with lightning. Then when a Epic Dragon wandered in front of her it was one of the most spectactular sights I have seen in Spore.

I have to dig some screenshots off her computer to share.

There are nests with animals, but no plants or anything. So if you're a herbivore you're pretty much screwed.

Although if you go to your nest and mate then you get your health and hunger meters refilled, so I guess you could abuse that a little :3
