Now, post up your own creations and give thema vote, maybe ask a friend to give them a kick start vote too. I'll bet you that by the end of the day it'll finish in the top 20, probably the top 10, and will have a blue or green smiley. Just try it =)

(I've tried this trick 2 times delibratly and twice by accident. And my creations by the end of the day rated 2nd, 4th, 3rd and 27th most popular respectively... thelatter one kind sucked)

Now me, I've never had more than 4 comments on a single creation (Hell, I have a comment saying "haha you don't have any comments"), and never gotten anything over yellow neutral face. Oh well... I guess I just suck.

Which program did you use for that signiture cause Im maybe a newbie but Im a drawer too.
Trying my own is better solution.And the secret of your could help many people.(Atleast which those are living in US)

Alot of comments are either people looking at featured, or it is people that just comment eachother. Post in the creation threads and community. The Creation thread, rate user above you is a great one to use.

my 2 most ommented (and highest rated) creatures, were actually tailor made for "make this kind of creature for this sporecast" threads.

it is kinda fun to make a creature with limits on design, and then see how unique you can make your take.

and they seem to get a lot of attention.

For what's it's worth: Your 'best of CommanderT' was the first sporecast I subscribed to, by careful choice. And since I went radical and erased all the SPORE that downloads to my game and set 'accept buddies only', you were the first 'buddy' I added.

This is one of sooooo many serious simple failings of Spore. There is no contemplated system that allows better creatures to float to the top. Instead we are swamped with thousands of 'ifyou'veseenadozenthenyou'veseenthemall' and to add injury we're left with no acceptable means to organize, sift or delete the mess.

One observation: Bad creatures tend to be just the default or close to default body with a lot of attached details with again default size and shape. Creatures that I tend to like to encounter and have in my game exhibit a lot of loving modeling of body and details. They also tend to be fairly clean, or at least if a lot of detail's are sprouting those details have been used for a single effect - like your feathers on the peacock.
So my choice for an automatic sifting process would be to track the number of changes the creator has made to parts and placements. That would give an indication to the amount of care and dedication the creator has put in.

Yea, too bad the 8 year old doesn't get world wide acclaim for the first ball of sticks and eyes he puts together... But he won't anyway, so where's the loss?

Anyway, I don't mean we should have only top sifted creatures spread. But I'd like a weighted system. 40% top sifted, 30% medium and 30% low. Unlike today when 90-99% is bottom.


Combine that with a ingame-only, binocular rating system. That can't be spammed.

btw i try to reply to everyone who comments,dds, rates me. But sometimes its impossible to find people ingame or on the sporepedia due to all the bugs. I also wish the event list was scrollable so i can see who added me and when.

the ingame communication system is awful

This is correct, as I was up late one night and sorta witnessed the rollover as well. However, I believe they postpone it over the weekends.

my new creation the brain just made it to page 13 on most popular, i made it just now it has 1 comment, yet my peacrye with over 20 and green smiley is nowhere to be found

I think they need to rethink the system a bit
