You'll now run into cube planets in Space stage, and you'll be able to colonize, terraform, and interact with these just like other planets. Here's a preview of what you'll be seeing.

Also, we're tracking all issues you report here so we can tackle these as soon as possible.

I've reported the hard drive space problem on to the team. Please keep in mind that the patch itself doesn’t add much of any size to the existing installation. However, there is some temporary room needed to cache the patch during installation.

I've also reported the install failures, I'll send an update if I hear more info.

So far the only screenshot of a Cube planet has been the one that MaxisCactus posted. I've searched the forum, YouTube, and Google images and I've found no other posted Cube planets.

That's a sweet planet! Can you colonize the planets?

...like I said... no one's found one, so there's no way to be sure... but I wouldn't see why you wouldn't be able to...

-edit-
Actually, it clearly says in MaxisCactus's post that you can colonize cube planets. Dude, READ before you POST!

Lol, I was just looking at the pictures.

Well if you look at things from a scientific perspective, it's not actually realistic. Gravity is a force that pulls things towards it, things in all directions, not in on just 6 sides of an object. Over thousands, millions, and billions of years, asteroids and other outside influences can shape a planet and shave off any corners or sides. Cube planets can be formed, but only through an extreme amount of luck or through artificial means.

Guys, cube planets aren't supposed to be realistic... they're there as a joke, you know...
