I said we can, not that we have. A manned mission to Mars isn't so implausible. And we've been to the Moon, which counts in the Spore universe.

Installations of secret software that create security risks are intrusive and unlawful. Consumers’ computers belong to them, and companies must adequately disclose unexpected limitations on the customary use of their products so consumers can make informed decisions regarding whether to purchase and install that content. - FTC Chairwoman Deborah Platt Majoras, on the Sony BMG CD DRM scandal of 2005

Philosophy-wise I believe were just a little of everything, you can't really sum up humanity into on archetype, there are always going to be zealots and ecologists. Though I think we are more trader/diplomat/warrior then the others. But other than that I think its really hard to sum up humanity's Philosophy into one category.

I would define us as "Diplomats" because we can play nice, but be stupid at the same time.

A fool speaks when he has to say something.

Depends on which country takes over the world first.

Humans are spodes no doubt about it - we selfishly think that our ways are the only ways and that everyone who doesn't follow them are the ones in the wrong. This is evident by our own civil wars, usually created by the fact that one persons philosophy clashes with the next.

This is also evident in the fact that in Spore, we can't create creatures that live in noxious environments, that live underwater... Essentially, our 'way of life' in terms of carbon based, is the only way of life possible in the universe.

hahaha...

lol...

Nice conversation tho!

It was on page 6 when i came back...

I agree with Zerowear in the sense that Spore doesn't believe in other kinds of life on other planets other than carbon-based.
There is a chance that its possible to have Silicon-based life in the universe. I mean silicon does have the same amount of valence electrons as carbon, same group, and just one period below. Its plausible.

Not according to Science as we know it. Also proposed as organic base elements were nitrogen, chlorine, sulfur, and even arsenic, which are unlikely for other reasons.

I think I read somewhere that Earth had a lot of silicon and not a lot of carbon, yet life chose carbon as a building material.

I'd like to know how life would function/look being made of something other than carbon.

Actually, silicon physical properties would require magic to make work as a base for life. And even then you'd probably get something like Terry Pratchett's rock-eating troll.

Sometimes I think it would be cool if dragons were real. Then I think: they're giant fire breathing lizards that can fly with skin like armor. And they're carnivores. We're perfectly fine without them.
