If this happened, it could save spore.

I can already picture the cover art.

(Dark. It could have its own switch only sporepedia)

True, but think about it. There are literally millions of creations in the current Sporepedia.

Nah, EA is just going to let Spore die. They don't care about Spore. They only care about the business. They straight-up shut down Darkspore because it wasn't profitable.

In summary: Spore isn't profitable to EA, so they abandoned it.

Darkspore was even less profitable, and EA even thought it was actually COSTING them financially.

while ea will probably let spore die, spore is still profitable to ea

if it wasnt, the servers would not be up

darkspore was literally costing them financially

very little sales, very small player base

it cost quite a bit of unneeded money to keep the darkspore servers running

im surprised they didnt shut them down sooner

That's a good idea, they should make something similar to Spore Hero or Spore Creatures if they already made action games for Nintendo devices that plays in the Creature Stage.

Captain Daniel Brawglis won't."

This. EA still makes money selling Spore on Steam, GOG, and Origin. That and the servers house the Sporepedia, which is a key part of the game. Spore also did well enough to justify the continued existence (and maintinence) of the servers, especially when people still play this game

If EA wanted to shut down the Spore servers, they would have done so a long time ago.
