I disagree...

If customers could have a say in ousting a bad CEO, u really thing the next CEO would take that chance?? Most "golen parachute's" (compensation package CEO's have) dissolve if they're voted out by their board of directors.

Besides, something like this has never been done b4 (at least not that i know of). It could be revolutionary for both consumer and manufacturer.

You can hire me for the job. Or RocketGirl.

But please, do not hire Chris Hecker - or the NFL games will have footballers that look like teddy bears.

Feel free to comment on my work! Also, I can has fanclub? I have 1038 creations and one feature...

Sony's DRM division has been sued a few times... Nifty how history repeats itself... I really wish Maxis would split from EA (tho, chances are, its EA who owns all the Sim franchises now thru contractual agreements).

EA = worst company currently running.

All they do is churn out crap. They should go into the fertilizer business.

There are a lot of people who could do a better job than EA's current CEO. The person in charge of EA right now is the same breed of executive who comes in at the top of a company, flops around for a while, and then jumps out with one of those golden parachutes like a failed Wall Street executive. The same thing happened with EA's previous CEO. This guy promised to change things and improve things, but everyone promises you the world and then delivers a little slice of New Jersey. You simply cannot believe what executives or politicians say in nearly every case. Their interests are not the same of yours unless you're a stockholder with a sizable enough percentage to make you important.

EA games has gotten worse. It will continue to deteriorate. Hopefully it doesn't get bailed out. A lot of other developers are coming out with outstanding products in the coming months which will hopefully stomp what little half-baked products EA comes out with.

I'm sorry, Dave. I can't let you read that.

I don't know what value this bit of information is or whether it means anything, but has anyone read this article from Forbes about EA's "Dead Space?"

http://www.forbes.com/2008/10/12/dead-space-videogame-tech-personal-cx_mji_1013dead.html?partner=msn

Apparently, they're trying to change things and hook up with game makers like Bioware:

9. Wow. Electronic Arts made this?

Two years ago, "Dead Space" never would have made it through the green light process, say members of the game's development team. They thank Chief Executive John Riccitiello. Electronic Arts has garnered--not undeservedly--a bad rep for churning out uninspired sequels of established franchises. That's changing. Along with investing in respected development houses like Bioware and Pandemic, Riccitiello wants to improve the overall quality of EA games. To do that, he has supported internal development of original intellectual property.

Yeah EA already owns Bioware.
Why Bioware, why did you take the offer?!?!?! EA if you dare mess up Bioware, horrible horrible curses will abound upon you.

In seriousness, while I'm glad the EA "appears" to be trying to turn over a new leaf, I just wish they would have left one of my favorite companies alone. Oh well we'll just have to see where EA ends up taking this.
