Well, here's hoping that this patch is better than the last. Who knows, maybe it will fix as many problems as it makes!

(To be honest, I'm kidding, I'm one of the lucky ones who have had basically no issues pre or post patch, on two different computers no less. But, just because I'm not having issues, doesn't mean the last patch didn't create them for others.)

I'm glad they realize there ARE concerns about the game. Still, I would like info on what's going to be fixed. I asked in that thread...so no need to tell me anything.

Should be PARTS PACK!! far from a full fledged expansion. I agree its too early for parts pack. But historically speaking.. Parts packs came after expansions..

What do we need more parts for... they don't even impact gameplay in the slightest.. Aside of making a cool character that behaves just like all the others you've made.

Yea same for me. UNLESS of course, they release the bang up all get out patch before this... errr... graphics pack.

A parts pack to me is just milking the customer base, to the extreme. If the parts actually effected gameplay it would be different... I would CLAMBER to get it!!!.. but right now, the knowledge that this pack is not going to fix .. or affect the game itself, feels like an ulcer in my stomach.

They have spoken,so to speak, the silence is broken .. with a freaking parts pack. Well, actions speak louder than words, and EA's actions have lost me as a customer. (unless of course the patch actually makes the parts affect gameplay.) Shame shame shame.

This game needs parts alright, like it needs a hole in the disk (wait there is already one there). What it needs is a major overhaul to make the parts actually USEFULL. If that doesnt happen.. I'm sure that I'll be leaving this one on the shelf, and making darn sure that I post reviews of it everywhere I see that I can. zero zero zero ....

Add the game to this game... not more parts.

So is it official? Shameful milking... A real expansion to the gameplay would be worth it. This is the "Horse Armor" of EA. At least Bethesda's shame was just a couple dollars.

Actually the horse Armour didn't effect anything if you didn't buy it....

If you dont buy this parts back.. you will be unable to download any creations made with it. the online part of this game is bad enough (big selling point), now its going to be worse. Seems as if they made it online just to screw with us, and force us to buy this pack (so to speak).

What I said Earlier stands, and always will, for me. No usefulness.. no purchase. They could have just released the creature creator.. forgot about the game.. and milked that fan base, with these so called parts..

I am obligated to say the following things to those who said the Creepy and Cute Parts Pack wasn't real:

1) I told ya so!
2) Retailers just don't add products willy-nilly because of a rumor or speculation. They have insider information.
3) I so totally told ya so!!
4) Things do tend to appear, disappear, and then come back at a later date because most websites let you temporarily hide things.
5) I told ya so, and this also confirms that my intuition is spot on, as usual, unlike all those "wait and see" folks out there.

Now get out your peg legs, wake up your parrots, and put on your hats. Nobody better buy this parts pack or else there will be an endless parade of them. It's insulting to have to pay for parts that were clearly withheld from the retail game release, are going on sale a mere 2 months and 15 days from the retail release, and cost double the price of the creature creator.

Seriously, to people reading this thread who are seriously considering buying the parts pack: Hold off on this purchase, I implore you. I want new stuff for the game as much as the next person - I'd love to see true tentacles or some neat fly-like pincer feet or something, but please, just re-read ZJBDragon's post and try to tell yourself what EA is doing isn't scummy.

And on the plus side, if we can show EA that we strongly disagree with their business strategy, there's a slim hope that they might start to re-think it. I mean, Spore was supposed to make a lot of money for EA, right? Well, if we refuse to buy this pack, then they stop making money. Chances are, they will think up a way to get us to pay for the content, IE giving us what we want (more Dev feedback, patches that work, expansions rather than parts packs), or at least by lowering the price for parts. But if we just go along and buy up this pack, then EA is going to continue operating under the impression that we will just gladly eat whatever they throw at us, no matter how rank.

Just please try to keep in mind that this isn't just about people complaining that they don't want to pay for something, or that they're paying too much. This is about a company trying to use really crummy business tactics. This is about regular people who want to enjoy a game that works properly - but can't, because a greedy company was busy getting a parts pack ready for release instead of working on ironing the bugs out of the game they just released. This is about evil corporate execs laughing maniacally as they sip at martinis made with the tears of orphans...wait, I'm getting a little carried away.

But seriously, we're not just an angry crowd that doesn't like Spore. We just don't want to get screwed by a greedy company. And we don't want you to get screwed either.
