Gods. Spore is NOT the Sporum. You can play Spore quite happily without ever knowing this place or it's drama exist.

If you want to play, play.

If you want to talk about it (and way much else) come here.

But stop confusing the two.

I bought 8 copies of Spore, CC and C&C to share with local libraries and friends. Spore is a decent game. The Sporum was better with fewer supercilious twits (if you take my meaning).

I really don't think it's worth it to buy Spore again. It's a good game, but it's worth too much money.
If you buy it, you'll want to buy GA and C&C and all that stuff. It's too addicting and really not worth it.

He doesn't NEED TO BUY it. All he needs to do is install it on the new machine. If he has the key, but not the media, he can get CS to switch him to the online download version of the program. If he has the media, but no key, they can either retrieve his key or sell him a new one for $10 bucks.

In the end, that limit on installs is NOT on total installs, it's on concurrent installs.

You can install unlimited times, but only on five machines at any one time.
