I like pretending and playing the game. I admire some of those "art" creations very much, and comment and uprate them if I do, but I don't want them messing up my game.

There are some people who think the MPN thing is the only important thing, and they take it personally every time I say that I'm not interested in that. Or that I think some people get crazy about it.

I really only want stuff that animates well and ruin my involvement to show up in my game.

There are some really great creators in all different genres who do creations that actually play well.

Sometimes a nest of peaceful creatures just stand there and watch me while I attack their predator. It's so random. XD

I also love the pack members with personality. Especially when you get one of each personality type added to your posse. The dancing ones are my favourite, they're adorable.

I have never seen entire herds of creatures leave their nests to go attack others, in fact, one of the criticisms of Spore was that the NPC creature groups never hunted eachother. EA download manager has been acting freaky lately - could this be a patch?

Vids or it never happened.

Yeah, I quite often get creatures that move from their nest to go eat, hunt or drink. I think you just have to be lucky to catch it.

Its a great oppertunity to raid eggs or parts if they are aggressive and you dont want to get too near...

Yeah, I'm back. Kind of. Maybe.

I've noticed a lot of grazing lately too. Mostly herbivores and omnivores on creature stage, but sometimes I've seen my tribal stage pets doing it as well. I've only noticed this recently though (over the past 3 or 4 months); were we given an automatic patch we weren't informed about that added this to the game? (Or am I really just that oblivious? )

True, but you can just eat whatever the rogue kills to make him unable to eat from taht corpse, so you basically steal his meal.

I mostly play on easy if I'm not looking for badges, and I see them do it all the time. You just have to be there and watching. And I spend a fair amount of time pretending and watching.

There really is no difference between "easy" and "really, really, annoying (hard)" other than frequency of events (otherwise known as stacking the deck). I was really disappointed to find that there is nothing really added to the game (other than irritation at the frequency of attack/demands) by playing in the harder modes.

And joefesok, if the rogue is in your posse, he won't attack you for eating his food.

I've never really noticed an issue with the AI, I always see wandering/migrating groups of creatures attack other nests, rogues attack nests, creatures leaving nests to hang around the water...
I always play on hard now, got a mod to reduce the frequency of eco-disasters and outfitted all my worlds with all the tools they can be. The only alerts I get now are from my few allies or the worlds that I just haven't got around to putting the tools on!
I think the only thing that really changes in space in hard mode is your ship has less heath and spice sells for slightly less...

That happens. Some nests migrate, and you see them. Once, even, my whole nest attcked an enemy one.

recently, 2 nests that hated me started fighting. I couldn't believe it, so I tried to pick off some weak ones in all the chaos. I didn't really work out though cause the nest closest to me turned on me and my pack.

I had some NPC creatures that live in the mountains come down en masse and beat the living crap out of everything, and a lot

This is on normal mode, and I have only seen highest level (40-50 hp) do this.

There was a nest on a mountain in one of my games that used to come down to go to the water. The creatures didn't have wings, and couldn't get back up the side they came down eventually they would die down there. There was a "hole" between two hills on the mountain that trapped some of them, and there were usually several in the hole dancing around until they died.

The bad part was they were these rottenly cute baby bunny creatures and I felt bad for them.

Lame, I know, but they were so dang cute.
