The game should be more realistic looking. Right now it looks like a crappy cartoon (OMG, that was the gayest remark I ever made)

if the game was more realistic in someways then the game play could improve? i don't know but maybe.like say, haveing more realistic flight or some species cross breeding between eachother. like 2 diferent species of leopard geckos will mate with each other.

thats right!i is one of them!

I'm surprised 3 people have voted to keep it the same, they don't even want it to improve

I still find in many topics about spore and realism lots of people say "it's just a game" still...

Yeah, I'm a bit annoyed by that too. I'd like realism because you would do stuff that do happen in real-life or we imagine that they could happen (space stage), and that would make it more fun.

Some people are of the opinion it seems that, should we disagree with Maxis, they will smite us.

Risking returning us to the GIVE US SCIENCE SPORE BACK argument, I must say I'd have preferred the procedural and rich game promised in the E3 2005 demo. Mostly, I would have liked the feature that made it so the shape and part positioning of the creature would have mattered. Of course, you can see why it wasn't implemented, but if it was coupled with only being able to make slight changes every generation I think it would have made great gameplay.

"The time has come," the Walrus said,
"To talk of many things."

Depends on what you mean by realistic...

More realistic graphics? Defiantly.
More realistic gameplay? Perhaps.

to me, the entire point of spore is to create. It's not much of a game, in a way. GA made it better, but i think we need more in the way or stages, or make it alot bigger. Make civilisation an entire RTS or something like that.

I think spore's really unrealistic. I mean, can you name an animal that has 5 legs?

Not to mention, sometimes the land is blue! The land is never blue, I mean come on Maxis!

that's because, as humans, we only think that the land can be brown or green, the water can only be blue, and animals can only have 2 or 4 legs, and 2 eyes.

think about it, in this very large universe, with about 5 billion, more even, star systems, there very well could be a planet with blue land and creatures with 5 legs.

Yet so many things in Spore are based on our experience on Earth. Vehicles, huts, major halls, cells with mouths etc.
I'm not saying I don't like the fact that you can have as many legs as you want.

Spore is far too based off earth and too limiting. Cells don't have mouths, they absorb other cells to eat them. And maybe ET life uses some other kind of base structure completely different from cells, or is just a single massive cell?
