I thought we did. It was that agreement thingy we signed. Wait, that was just for EA and Maxis...

Please check out my creations. I will attempt to comment back at some point or another. Real life and all. If I haven't returned the comment please remind me.

Too messy. Really, lineage was exactly what we needed. The issue is entirely one of respect, and not really important in this setting.

Also...

Hence my comment to you to do more research. Wiki was just an example of what you will find. Look further into those dictionary definitions and look at other reference sources and you will find for yourself that plagiarism only refers to literary works.

I did, but you have to look at the nature of the word. It is primarily used in the literary context because that is one of the major places where it is common, since people will attempt to get grades via plagiarized work.

But it isn't the only place the word is used. It is also used in Paintings http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-plagiarism.htm.

Basically, plagiarism is used in any case where something is copied and passed off by the copier as their original work. This doesn't happen in that many types of situations, and they all are in creativity areas such as writing and art as far as I know

Which reminds me how they had a little thing in my art book about it. They weren't encouraging the act of directly copying a work but to do something again in your own style, which teaches you how the artist did that.

They then compaired to works which were copied and the copy of the original was called, "I am no [name of original artist]" and looking at the two made me chuckle.

Well, technically Spore is designed to be able to share your creatures. If Maxis didn't want others "stealing" your creatures, they wouldn't of created that option.

MOST of the time however, people will downrate creations that they think are stolen. The stolen ones of mines that I have come across all had orange and red faces. Only once have I seen a stolen creature get up high on the MPN, first page to be exact, it was a creation of Cymka's that they used.

I suggest not to let it get to you. Be honored that someone liked your creations enough to "steal" them.
