The flora editor is IN THE GAME, just not available from the menus and very bugged.

So it MAY be added back in a patch. They don't have to write new code, just fix the existing one and then re-enable it in the game.

Knowing EA's history with the Sims, it's far more likely they'll stick most enhancements (i.e. anything beyond bugfixes and show stoppers / game breakers) in expansion packs you get to pay for.

I was positively surprised by the changes introduced in the first official patch, but it blatantly failed at its main purpose: bugfixing. It introduced several new problems and didn't eliminate all existing problems, so the result is more of a re-distribution of the problems than an actual solution.

the one that gets me was i telling my mates how EA finally produced a game where you could skip their logo, but after patching you can't. I am gobsmacked by that.

Please switch it back to the way it was.

really ???
that could be awesome because the entire flora was created by Maxis and could be very cool if you would be able to create the flora

My requests would have to do with sporecasts. I would like a nicer interface for making sporecasts, such as getting only creations you've seen in save game x, or only by one person. Also, I'd like a way to automatically have all creations by person x or that you encounter in save game x included in a sporecast.

I would like the focus of the next patch to be fixing existing bugs instead of being focused on "get this out the door as fast as possible". In other words I'd like them to get patch #1 working before they try to install any more bug-ridden content on my machine.

I want: Double Click to buy or sell, and ability to move action buttons arround in button line.

Just figured I'd throw my 2 cents in here. Bug fixing aside (That should be a given in a patch, right? EA? Hello? lol :P) I'd like to see three items, with two added to the Space Stage:

1) The ability to open and make creatures from the Sporepedia with the "Create Creature" tool in the Space Stage. Mostly this is for the matter of convinience because I'm tired of painstakingly placing each part as according to the Sporepedia and playing with the coloring until I get something remotely like what I want to see, all while playing offline so it does not get automatically uploaded and I end up being accused of just copying something. Well yes I suppose I did copy something, but it was not to pass it off as my own so it's all done offline, lol. Yes I could just go make something completely new, and I have, but sometimes I want the one I saw on some obscure out of the way world that I cannot remember where it was, but did not think to grab at the time because I was yet again running to stop pirates/eco-disaster/attack/etc.

2) Autonomy at the Space Stage, by which I mean some level of ability for your planets and your allies' planets to take care of their own problems. I was at the Grox, mere moments away from the center of the galaxy when all hell broke loose back at home! With the vast nature of the Space Stage I feel compelled to explore, and yet can't even get a few worlds past my empire before yet again someone is begging me to go help them. I ignored it all for a while and returned to find most everything in ruins. At the very least we should be able to make worlds capable of defending themselves even when we are not there. Certainly offer incentives and rewards to go assist them. Increase the likelihood that there will be more damage to clean up if you don't help or something and, as it is already, you obviously don't get progress toward badges if you don't help. Tying into this idea I think it would be cool for your empire to have more ships than just the one you're flying. I mean honestly, the computer sends fleets after you surrounded by fighters, and you are the only guy in your empire they saw fit to give a ship?
"Defense Secretary So-and-so, our enemies have thousands of ships with escorts to attack us with, how many should we make?"
"Oh let's just do one. They're expensive and I hate having to make the same thing over and over, it's boring."
"Sounds good to me, how about lunch?"

3) Add an option for auto-sharing. I know not everyone is keen on this idea. After all this game thrives on the ability to share content from one player's game to the next. On the other hand, while I'm more than happy to share those stages of evolution that I feel happy with, I hate that I have to go and manually delete everything from the site that's in between those stages, which I did just to have a quick advantage or get rid of the land vehicle I accidentally forgot to color before it's bland white "glory" is found all across the Spore cosmos. If it's set on by default I honestly believe most people would leave it on anyway, and then those that wouldn't (such as myself) would readily and happily share the content they are happiest with.

Those are just things I would like to see in the game in the near future, which I think would make the game just that much more enjoyable, at least for me. As much as I'd like them though I somehow doubt not seeing them will change the fact that I cannot seem to get away from the game. Seriously, I work full-time, I just went back to college, and I've been fitting in Spore over the time I should be eating or sleeping, lol. I knew it would be a game that would grab me, but I did not really plan on it being addictive.

Be able to skip the annoying EA and Maxis logos at the beginning. As if you're afraid we'll forget Maxis sold their soul to EA so we're slapped in the face by it every time we boot up.

Fix crashing issues. I haven't had problems this bad (even in beta of games) since Rainbow Six: Vegas.

Rendering issues. Creatures show up as one ugly solid color, even their eyes. Vehicles and buildings show up as completely black with no paint at all. (I doubt it's the fault of my GeForce 8800.)

More guidance through the space stage. Since the space stage is the last stage it's, in essence, infinitely long. Actually having a little "this is how you do..." at the beginning of this stage will stave off a LOT of frustration.

My suggestion to you is to make the game you want to play. EA is a big company with lots of interests. And if you've ever worked for a large corporation, you would understand this readily.

Umm... there'sa LOT of tutorial in the Space stage. Like every mission your home planet gives you is a tutorial of some form.

- after the t-3 is done it would be nice if the creatures could mate by them self with other species and created mix creatures, so more creatures would procreated on the planets, that could even be some mission to discover some new species using the hologram or by * landing the ship and walk the terrain in expedition with tools like "tricorder" , ground weapon and vehicle we could created in the sandbox using material trade on planets and on device developed in the *science lab ( see father down for more detain where I put some * thank you )

- * ship can land, so we can walk in the city we created, why not even enter buildings

- more then one ship, squadron to fight the enemies, give order to squadron like sending them to fight

- auto pilot, when your call to somewhere, or to do some mission somewhere

- MORE -->>> More phenomenon to discover in space, such as for example : new gas , new electrical phenomenon that affect this or that, weird planet with weird echo system

- be able to see inside our ship windows and pilot the ship in battle

- *science lab building, a place where we can developed new technologies, Annalise new gas for example, new spices new specie cure disease that affect the citizen or the animals etc...

- farming building were we can grow animals and plants, even make market out of it

- merchant trader, a fleet of people who will do business to sell the spice where you put trading market on other species planets

LESS GROX, and pirates , this is like the most lame part of this game, it's like interminable, and when I call the people allied if I am in battle, I expect someone to come to the rescued at lease

more complexity in the structures of town and relations with other species beside a shooting game, I think that I wasted my money on a shooter......

well that's some of the ides, as for me I feel like I being rob, I was expecting much more from that game, maybe they will offer a expansion pack with more, but I fee l I already paid way too much for something not worth it, so I won't spend a dime to get what I should have got for the amount of money I spend already on this game.

How about the ability to switch on and off the patching permanently so as to not have to worry about this problem.

So I ask: how would you feel about that? Would you still trust Maxis? Would you trust Wright? Would you agree to pay despite the potential aftertaste of exploitation?

Well.. That would difinetely make me not buy it... And then I would be very happy to see that Spore and its expansion paks are the most pirated Game worldwide... Thats the only thing that hurts EA...
