Quite a few of the good reviews ignore the fact that when you make new adventures collision detection and bounding boxes ruins many of them

Sigh...tired of Spore, moving on to BF2142 and TF2. I might come back later, maybe not.

GA is good, but I feel we needn't something else right now. I'm not saying GA is bad, but it didn't expand levels. In space stage, GA is only a minigame for missions. I would feel better adding more depth to the stages. In my opinion, GA should have been made after we add to the stages. Some players feel that the cell and creature stages have little purpose. Others feel that tribe, civ, and space stages go too fast. And the space stage really needs work. Since it's the last stage, it should be THE BEST. And well... I think the cell stage is more exciting! GA was good, but Spore needs other things at the moment. Although, I would give GA a 8.5/10 if it was realeased later... right now, it's just a 4.5/10 for me...

Overall, I would like to tell Maxis that they should thing of what we need NOW. Not later! Keep working on it Maxis, I know you'll get it eventually.

Comment on one of my creations, and I'll comment on FIVE of yours!

Galactic Adventures has major loading issues with me, which discourages me from starting up the game. I really do not like weighting 10 minutes for a game to load. It could be my computer, but I can load many other games under a minute.

As for gameplay itself, I like accepts of it. I enjoy the ability to run around on a planet as my Captain. However, there needs to be more to it. One thing would be a save function.

However, Malachimari is right about it being released too soon. There was a lot of core gameplay that I felt needed to be address first. The Space Stage would of benefit from improvement in allies, wars, and exploration. And it would be a great benefit if their was a way of using the Planet Editor to craft the planet on which the Player evolves. Or at least offer some random seed options. GA has the framework there for planet editing.

Of course, to see more of my suggestions you can just take a look at a few of my links in my signature.

My general feeling: Galactic Adventures is nice, but it has too many drawbacks to get me back to play it and it doesn't address core gameplay issues. The whole idea of Spore is the idea of evolution and I feel that, that idea was not enhanced enough. I might go back and play some more for a better review.

now if only x-play from g4 rates spore well there would be hundreds of new fans (they are the most watched gaming show on television after all) but all in all i give spore 3.5/5 because even though the customize almost everything is great you can't just throw away gameplay...

(this is my opinion of spore all together it was the best game ever for me for the first 4 save files than it got repetitive and a little boring still one of my favorite games though. but at the same time KOTOR is a tough thing to beat ) for GA i to a gree with malachimari but i would give maybe a 6/10 instead of 4.5.

I personally think they should have spent more time testing these levels and looking for glitches, oh and on another note the game now runs slower and choppier than before. Great job you have managed to fail again.

You are so arrogant. It's slow and choppy because you probally didn't put the graphics on low even if it is on low and runs slow it's still the computers fault. Not Spores. Personally I think your review is horrible. But that's just my opinion.

I think that GA filled in a large gap in the gameplay of space. No longer are missions boring, but now when I've done too many GA missions I can get taste out of the old ones, then get a taste from the new ones again. Not the BEST choice for a first update, but probably would have been my 3rd or 4th.

Now, if I may pitch some advice.

Halt operations on other console spores and focus a little more on the original, and fix the creature stage. Maybe a real time befriending thing where for dancing and singing you have to press a series of random keys on the keyboard to get different moves/pitches. And for pose and charm... well... I think that... hmm... sometimes it's hard to make it up as you go.

.........

A similar type of deal, but with mouse movements instead for finger tricks on pose and for little things or something in the charm. Just to throw a little more pizazz into the boring repetitive task of befriending a species.

Anyone who thinks that review is good is not good at understanding basic logic at all (not pointing fingers here). I have played and completed nearly all maxis adventures, and I've had no trouble in finishing them. It's easy to unravel how much effort they have put into the adventures just using their own editor, and it's actually quite a lot for the simplicity of the editor.

I really don't give a SPORE about other people's opinions. As long as I enjoy it, I find it awesome.

I play Spore more than any other game I have. The same goes with others. If Maxis puts hours into this game, and in turn gets a hateful response from the public, I think that it kind of sucks for them, don't you? Like any game, Spore has many problems. It's their game, and if you don't like it--what are you even doing on the Spore forums any way?

Other than the fact that I made myself sound like some insane Fanboy, I think I made my point just fine.
