Of course it does. But you obviously don't need to use this trick if you have the Omnivore trait card.

Spice geysers and volcanoes (especially volcanoes) can be used to make your creature fly REALLY HIGH!

If you're an omnivore with the ability to summon a herd to you, these make socializing with another creature MUCH easier, which lets you get multiple rogue creatures into your group.

Greetings comrades, if you are reading this, our attempt at global domination shall be realized soon. Please deploy all of your remaining peanut butter southward to your nearest representative for construction on the doomsday device.

If you want to travel around on your continent and dont want to walk all the way again if you died, you should follow the marked path on the map... it shows you the way to several nests of your own species, which you can use as home bases if you want to.. you can make them your home nest and will be reborn there...

Also the best way to kill an epic creature is to taunt it by attacking it (it works best with spit) and let it follow you to your homenest...your companions will fight against it, but the epic (which you always attack with spit from range) will only follow you and ignore the others... so when the epic is weakened enough you can charge and kill it fastly ... it gives a huge amount of food ^^

A question to the others: Have you also found a stonehenge on your planet? I did, and was very curious and confused... I also found a meteor laying on the ground... does anybody know if you can do anything with the stonehenge or the meteor? That would be cool ^^

Is there any penalty for allying with and then destroying another creature during this stage?

Any achievements?

[Edit] Well, did a little more testing and apparently you can't attack creatures you're allied with, can't even eat their eggs to promote an attack. Any backstabbing in the later levels?

1. Always look for epic creatures, huge rocks normally mark there positions, around them are fields of GIANT bones that give you lvl 5 parts.

2. To befriend an epic... It's theoretical, but I believe this might work... Do the herbivore thing as a cell so you get the social ability, which makes monsters not attack you... Try and empress... If it works, then grats, if not, run.'

3. To slay an epic- Make sure you can have three members in your party. Get ALL heavy striking rouges, stealth, then run in, let the rouge attack first. Make sure your character has 50 hp, lvl 5 strike, and lvl 5 bite, possibly lvl 5 charge, after the rouge hits, charge in, and begin to strike and bite, hopefully you'll kill it.

Haven't tried it yet (I'm still culling off aggressive empires), but I'm pretty sure I am able to bomb allied space colonies, because I often accidentally fire on their ships. As for tribe and civ stage, I am not so sure.

Heres some help on the two toughest achiements in the creature phase- Flight of the Bumblebee and Epic Killer
Epic Killer- Spit and run. spit and run. Works best as omnivore so you can eat on the go. If they get stuck in trees, don't move unless its for food and you are almost out of food.

Flight of the bumblebee- Volcano+Last wings. thats all you need.

Sorry, your wrong. 1st, epics already hate you and everyone else. 2nd, epics deal 150 damage. it wont work.

You can do whatever you feel like in space stage. You know, spend an hour befriending a civilization then bomb a city so your at war with them, or just steal all their spice.

Use the meteor and UFO events (when creatures are cowering) to run in and grab the skeleton parts from the nests of tough hostile creatures.

Also, I've found a skeleton with a part in both the meteor crater and crashed UFO trench.

As implied earlier, isolated creatures are easier to socialize. Look for ones standing alone away from the nest.

Remember you can add your own species alphas to your pack.

If you don't like the trait you've received for creature stage, quit Tribal stage and reload your creature stage (you did save, right?). Then kill or socialize to move in the direction you want. Save and try evolving again. Repeat as necessary.

Stealth parts DO help in Tribal stage, so stock up before moving on.

Instead of saving/advancing/checking/quitting, just press T (for Timeline) and it brings up your history. Then you can see which way you're going before you hit Advance.

If you want to give your creature a specific style which needs herbivore/carnivore mouths but want to be omnivore than you need it, so its not useless at all

If you get a pack member from a different species, you start the Tribal stage with that individual already domesticated and in your pen. If that ally is a rogue, they'll come out of the pen and attack hostile tribesmen in your village. So get three rogues into your pack before you evolve for a free home defense force that also gives eggs for food.

I mean it's useless if you have an Omnivore trait card, and thus have access to Omnivore mouths. Obviously it's not useless if you have the Herbivore or Carnivore trait card, otherwise I'd have never proposed the tip in the first place.
