Seriously, that's the official spore youtube page. I'm subscribed to them on youtube ^_^
This is for user submitted videos that preview user created Galactic Adventures Missions. The Spore Youtube page is good for the short creature creator videos, but this is a thread about larger scale videos, representing user made Galactic Adventures Missions.
Basically, I'm hoping Spore users will make videos (I use Windows Movie Maker and publish it on Youtube), that show off an adventure's exciting scenes, that will intrigue the viewer and hopefully gain some downloads because of that.
Personally I'd like the videos to be more detailed than a short two minute clip, like the creature creator videos. It can be two minutes, but it should be edited to show the best parts of your Galactic Adventure Mission, or the parts you consider the best.
Obviously if there are twists and turns in your mission, and want to avoid spoilers, you would want to avoid showing off those surprises, and most likely would have a shorter video, with more action sequences and less dialogue.
I'm glad this has gotten some support. I know I'll try to make preview videos for all my missions, and if the preview videos are really good, I'm hoping people will download those missions. And once the game comes out, remember to leave the video with a link to your mission as well, so people can easily download it.

at six flags, dancing with regular spode and six flags guy. And mudkipz, lotz of them.
Oh, sorry. I read the first couple of sentences and then posted. I'm one of those people who do that... Anyway I'm definitely going to do this, as I'm good at editing videos and this just seems like a fun thing to do. I'll definitely be making videos once GA comes out
It would be nice if, after release of GA and there is lots of videos that somebody could compile an archive of all the videos submitted with author name and description etc.
As links though not embedded videos. When a page has got lots of embedded videos it can really slow the page down.

Sorry, didn't mean to make it sound like I was attacking your post, just wanted to make sure you got the idea. I guess you were pointing out the videos by the Spore creators, whereas this post is about user created adventure videos. It would be awesome to see some video previews of your adventures too, looking forward to getting some good user videos of adventures here.
And Nethellus, thanks for contributing a video preview. I'm really considering adding music to my videos too, the music worked well on that video.
It could also be cool to pick my top 5 favorite adventures of the month or week, and make a video for them, showing a video with short two minute segments of my favorite adventures. That is something I will definitely do on this thread, a top five adventures for the month, might add that to the original post.
If you have any other ideas for Galactic Adventures videos or contests, post them here on this thread, and remember to post your mission videos here once Galactic Adventures comes out.

And like I posted, taking ideas for videos and contests for this forum thread. You can also post video previews of your adventure here, and once the game is released, can post a link to your adventure along with a video of adventure highlights.

At any point during gameplay or even in the editor, you just press V on your keyboard, and it will start recording video. Once its done recording, don't send it directly to youtube, and then later in Movie Maker, just go to your My Spore Creations file, and there should be a tab called something like Movies in it, and that's where they're located. And then obviously you can edit videos together on Movie Maker before publishing them on youtube.
Remember, Spore only allows you to take videos of about two minutes, so you will have to splice together separate videos to show more than two minutes of gameplay.
