I think that you should add something where you can play with other players in real time. Only if you choose. If you want you can be with other people in the same stage as you i think it would be cool. When I heard you could play Spore online i thought wow thats awesome. But it was sorta a let down for you not to be able to play WITH anyone, just their creations. I still love the game, I just think it can be improved like that.

I would REALLY like to see something where I could like type in something like "robots" or "Star Wars" and then search for the "most popular" in whatever category we choose. Didn't we used to be able to do something like that??

I have a question. How do u choose who is featured?

My question is why are you (Maxis) spending so much time on this stuff when people are still having a lot of problems with crashes, bugs and installation problems?

This is stuff is so completely secondary to making a stable and reliable game it boggles the mind.

I agree. But I learned more yesterday afternoon, just researching how all this works, than I learned from all my time playing Spore.

Oddly enough, THIS interests me.

The only problem are the idiots that think this is the place to ask the developers to add the underwater stage.

I know this seems obvious, but what about designing the internal structure of your creature?

To be honest...browsing Creations is already comfortable enough for me, but the Game could use some "Applications"...

Inside this thread. The mods/Maxis personnel have already stated that you're free to discuss modding in General Discussion.

I wouldn't expect that other question to get answered over night.

I believe the point of this is to allow players to further customize the Sporepedia (and that doesn't just mean searching).

One bit of info that I have wanted to see for a long time is the number of users that have downloaded a creation and/or how many users currently have that creation in their games. It was mentioned over and over again by Will Wright, Lucy Bradshaw, and others working on the game, that you could pull up any creation in the Sporepedia and see how many "universes" it appeared in. Is this info available anywhere? I found the event list info for each creation, which is pretty cool, but what I really want to know is how many users altogether have the creation in their game. Is this possible?

I would like our page to have three or so creations stay at the top perminately. This would allow us to keep our top favorite creations in vew for others to see at all times.

The feeds to not modify any existing Spore.com pages. You can, however, create your own page and use the feeds to display your three or so favorite creations at the top.

And before you ask (and I know you're going to), you cannot replace your Spore.com page with the page you create.

Let me try to sum this up since people are having such a hard time grasping what this is about:

On Spore.com is a lot of data: Users, creations, daily statistics, events, etc. This data is being provided in RSS and REST feeds for you to display in your own applications. You cannot pull information that is not on the website. You cannot change your game with these feeds. You cannot change the data in these feeds. You can make an application that pulls and displays this data. That's it.
