Spore Site Update: Multiple Screen Names for Your Spore Account.

I'm the only person playing Spore in my household, so this didn't affect me at all. But I am glad for other people, especially those with younger siblings who don't have to feel leery of letting a kid play a game. =P

Okay, stupid question time!

Can multiple screennames on the same account be online at the same time?

I think this is a great idea. My brother is away at college so I wouldn't have to share anyways but there are many kids who do share the game. This makes it so they can all have their own accounts.

I have to say, best SporeDay so far. I also liked the wallpapers.

yeah. you can even log on to one screename on multiple comps at the same time

Is it in any way possible to change my Name that´s,linked to my Account. I don´t want multiple Names, I want to be able to change the one I wear. Only made it "WilliWalli", because my Firewall messed up my first registration of Spore.

Or are the Masters able to do so ? I want to wear my real Name...

This isn't a solution. It's not even an answer. This is just crap to shut us up. Shared pedia and achievements is NO ANSWER! The whole point of separate logins is to maintain individual creation and achievement lists. I don't want my kid's "cutesy" buddies creatures, I want the deadly looking ones from MY friends! Piss poor effort Maxis.

It's a crappy bone thrown at us to shut us up. Still no answers on DRM. Still no answers on activation limits for version 1 owners. Still no answers on the important issues.

I got the same error with my gf's new name logging in instead of mine here and on the main site.
Just login with ":yournamehere" and it will log your account nin instead of someone else's.

Ugh.

I went and created a single new screen name for myself (Homer55.) It got set up all well and good and ... "empty!"

Now I can't log in to these FORUMS under the original, master account name!

When I try the email address with AND without the :Homer55 part I ALWAYS get logged in as Homer55!

Now I can't get in to follow the defect threads that I'm contributing to under the original, Master Account name....

... ARGH!...

Just add the colon and your original name.
I just said you have to do that in my post right above yours...

Thanks earthbounder64 - I was wondering how to get around that, without deleting this name that I set up to test how the multiple accounts work.... just have to remember to log-in with the colon thingy.

The multiple screenname also allows infinate freakin ratings FIX IT
