No, more of recon. they are cyborgs, and the surgery for it is usually shortly after some horrible accident. the cybernetic parts replace whatever they lost, and all have cloaking. some Shrikes, like 04 and 07, arent made for recon exactly. 04, for instance, has probes that can genrate an energy shield and acts as a body guard to his handler- two probes for him and 2 for his handler or whoever he guards. While it makes him not as good for recon, he is better for bodyguarding important officials.
