Well i'll get on that code.

Toyed with it a little bit but i cannot really understand much of what to do, i copy
Dim newPb As New PictureBox
newPb.Size = New Drawing.Size(128, 128)
newPb.Location = New Point(picX, picY)
picX += 128
newPb.Image = GetImage(node.ChildNodes(0).Value)
Me.Controls.Add(newPb)

Then i somehow array it? I don't get that part.

Still haven't gotten an answer.

Your Creation Viewer is brilliant, I tried it out, other than the jump category being grayed out it worked perfectly, very very cool!

Is there any way to view the total number of uprates and downrates on a creation?

Agreed, that viewer is probably the best yet!

Also, I believe the jump category is grayed out because the API the viewer gets the info from is currently sending false data about creatures jump. Maxis was still fixing this last I recall, but once it's fixed I'm sure Awesim will enable the jump category and display its information as intended.

Yes, top people are on the missing jump data in the Spore api. The viewer will probably be fixed shortly thereafter, but lets give credit where credit is due: Kevin Furr is responsible for the incredible creature viewer here: http://www.aggroplay.com/CreationViewer.htm. I only made this silly thing : http://pc-3d.com/files/Spore/spore_sig.zip. It makes signatures like mine below.

I noticed that you have a few APIs in your community stat section that are not in your community API section:

http://www.spore.com/www_static/data/processing/leaderboardslist/data/topcreators.xml
http://www.spore.com/www_static/data/processing/topsporecasts/data/topsporecasts.xml
http://www.spore.com/www_static/data/processing/achievementslist/data/achievementslist.xml

Is there any reason I shouldn't build off of these files?

We are still testing these out in terms of how frequently they update etc.
You can certainly play around with them, but we need some more time before we incorporate them into the official API.

Question: How often is the Stats (Player, etc.) page updated?

Hi Didzo,
Currently those stats haven't been updated since they were first put up.

We are hoping to get a weekly cadence going though.

Any chance of ever getting a POST REST feed which would allow us to leave comments?
I would also love a POST REST feed that would allow us to rate a creation up or down.

Thanks for putting the API out... Its just another way that Spore allows us to express creativity!

It seems like they wouldn't be able to easily and securely allow adding of comments and ratings, because someone could make a spam app that sends out lots of junk comments and downrates. It would be nice if it was possible though.

It's actually very possible using a token system like the one that netflix uses... Check out netflix.com (somthing about their api)... It's pretty cool stuff!

A few questions:
1. What time zone are the dates in? I assume GMT, but it is possible that they are that of the uploader.
2. Is there a way to get the sporecasts that a user created, not what they've subscribed to?
3. Could you fix the problem with non-ASCII characters? It appears that they either turn into their extended ASCII equivalents, or into a question mark, which as you can imagine, is quite a problem. I'd reccomend either making the feeds use UTF-16, or use XML escape sequences.
Thanks!

Edit: hm, it appears that I've accidentally logged into my little brother's account. I'm really impiaaa.
