Why is Dairuka continuing to complain, I wonder?

Sometimes I think it would be cool if dragons were real. Then I think: they're giant fire breathing lizards that can fly with skin like armor. And they're carnivores. We're perfectly fine without them.

Yes, and that's not the worst thing.

The worst thing is how people are forcing you to read it.

There are 2 ways of criticizing bad art:
1) constructive criticism, stating what's right and what's wrong, so that the artist can improve
2)rip it off the wall/out of the artist's hands, throw it to the ground shouting "FAIL! FAIL! FAIL!" (+ thinking everyone agrees with you); artist gets POd, you may get injured

unfortunately, most complainers on these forums go for choice 2, it seems

Good thing you said most complainers, otherwise I'd challenge you to find a single post where I pull the latter.

This has got to be the best way to describe the way of criticizing. A++ From me on this one. Couldnt have said it better myself.

A hello to you, by the way

Game stores in general are having tough times. Combine a crappy economy with a well-deserved reputation for crappy customer service, and you have many more people either just pirating games or buying them online.

If a game doesn't come out on Steam or Impulse, then I preorder it from Amazon.com. That's just the way it works. In all cases, I don't have to pay sales tax or shipping and the customer service is far better than going to the local Gamestop and being prodded to buy a magazine subscription.

You assume I live in a country that has adopted online transactions.
Oh we have them, but its only the last solution.
Seeing the boxes in the store means a lot where I live.

It should be the last solutions, I LOVE boxes on my desk. Not burned disks that EA controls (or any company for that matter)

The day you cannot hold it in your hands, is the day that THEY [the publishers] do!

The message is not the problem. The delivery is the problem. As stated before the tactic doesn't work on parents. It won't work on EA.
You become your own worst enemy, people start to ignore first you, then the issue. That is best case. Worst case they begin to actively loathe you, some of which is evidenced in this thread.

And, once again, it's all coming from the people who disagree. Obviously, they don't like having their worldviews challenged.

Look, I frankly don't trust your motives. And even if I did, your entire case is starting to smack seriously of character assassination based on personal opinion. Either way, YOUR message isn't getting through, and WON'T if you continue. You aren't being persuasive, you're simply being abrasive; if you really believe in it, take your own advice, because I'm quite done with you.

Sorry about the delay in annoying you, had a large contract to close today.

My response. Motive, no motive as such.

Character assassination ? Look long in the mirror sweetheart. I'm not the one started the use of belittling tactics and name calling.

Personal opinion ? Why yes my dear it is. Exactly the same as yours is your opinion. Your point ?
Not trying to persuade anyone. merely stating as said before, my ,as against someone elses, viewpoint.

Your calling ME abrasive ? That's very nearly laugh out loud funny.

Calm discussion too much for you ? Remember, I believe your points have validity. I merely think your tactics are wrong.

Beyond that ? Nothing really to add. I'll sit back and let you continue to pop veins out on your neck.

My Karma ran over your Dogma

I just realized i've been suckered! I just realized that everyone else posting on these forums is a sucker, too!

Far out.

Thanks for three weeks of entertainment Spore! I played about 100 hours of your game before I realized I was bored to freaking tears by the incredibly tedious design. Your cell stage was fun, but that was the high point of the game. The creative concept for this game could have been the Sistine Chapel, but you painted it on the roof not the ceiling, and now all that time and effort is covered in bird SPORE.

I now turn Spore over to my six year old son. I figure he'll enjoy it for another month before coming to the same realization I did:

"Wow...That's it?"

Why anyone would spend more money on expansions for this game is completely beyond me.

EDIT: I can't believe that your replacement word for SPORE is SPORE. Man, that says it all.

Welcome to the club poster, this exact thing has been said a hundred times over. I especially love your EDIT... True, so true... as it stands, in its current condition , yes "Spore is Spore" Thank you for voicing your opinion about the game.

TO EA:

The following words are In My HUMBLE opinion:

This can hopefully change soon, I have high expectations that EA will do the right thing here, and just let Maxis do what Maxis has done QUITE well on their own since their inception. Wills vision was developed extremely well into the Sims, and look how that still sells. Let Maxis do what they are good at, Will Wright, and the Rest of this once non stifled team of great people.

Money - as your propellant in the decision making machine that sits inside your Headquarters has failed to produce anything but the alienation of the very people that made you rich in the first place, MAXIS *AND* YOUR FANS. IMHO. Just look at whats going on here on this forum. The machine should be replaced with the man that in fact has MADE AWSOME GAMES in the past. HE IS YOUR MACHINE, human... yes... but he is your moneymaker. You chose, in this instance to listen to someone who has NOT made any award winning games, at least to my knowledge. Rock climbing... sounds just about as exciting as horseback riding on the computer... boring.. Apparently, that was the wrong choice. This time around it has cost you fans, at least me, anyways. I stick around because I said I would, not because I play the game.

William Wright has PROVEN himself to you, and the fans, many, many, many times over buy now I would imagine. Why not listen? Oh yea, you cannot.. your too busy fighting a lawsuit, which I have great hope you will lose, and sending Will Wright out to crucify himself and try to save face with the very people that adore him is quite horrible of you. You need to go out and crucify yourself instead In my Humble opinion! Maybe a little punishment for all of this would do you some good, make you realize your mistakes and be more inclined to fix them now and into the future.

Public Relations is the PUBLISHERS RESPONSIBILITY in my humble opinion, the Great Mind behind it all William Wright shouldn't be your fix up boy, sent out to try to mend the damage that your employee caused, because you chose to listen to him instead of Will. You let the moderator of the forum that messed up your public relations go[for telling a customer that they wont be able to use their code anymore because of a LEGITIMATE GRIPE he/she had posted.... why not let the man that supposedly was the cause of this blunder go as well, for an EVEN GREATER blunder..! or at least find the man that WAS responsible. I don't want to point fingers at any innocent people here.

A Dedicated FAN of the ORIGINAL Maxis

The Preceding Words are MY HUMBLE OPINION ONLY
