I guess I just took the de-stickie-ing of the thread as a sign that the patch was launched. Silly me.

Sorry for the false alarm, I didn't want to clutter up the first page.

1) Is there any indication at all what will be contained in the new patch? What issues does it plan to address?

2) When is the new patch expected to be released?

3) Will there be any potential issues raised with the new patch in terms of non-patched content interacting with patched content? (eg: in the creature tweaker)

1 - no, they really want/need to keep us in the dark about the patch contents.

2 - the day the Parts Pack hits the shelves. - On a pessimistic view, the patch will do nothing other than integrate a NEED for the crap pack into our games or otherwise allow creations built using the new parts to work on "old" games.

3 - seriously, that's probably the actual purpose of the patch. Nothing game related.

Actually, I think he may be right.

In order for the creepy and cute parts to work, they will need to patch it - adding the content to the game so you can see the creature... you just cannot edit it.

As for number 2, it would be logical to wait, as then they can include the patch with the creepy pack, so that when people bought and installed it, it would be guaranteed to work. The rest can get it from automated downloads.

As for point number one - they are probably still working on it to make sure that people who do not get the creepy and cute pack will still have semi-functional games.

Feel free to comment on my work! Also, I can has fanclub? I have 1038 creations and one feature...

You are twelve, yes?

No, it's not going to make a need for the parts pack. Most likely it's just going to patch in forward compatibility with the pack, and make it so that nonpacked people don't download pack items.

But for cartoonishly evil, you need look no further than the pack itself, and the principle behind it.

If the patch were to fix just bugs, they would be talking about it. Not keeping quiet.. the patch is in fact to add just what you all are talking .. compatibility. Thats why they are so quiet.

When the kids are quiet... they are up to NO GOOD! unless of course their sleeping.

I guarantee the patch will be primarily to fix issues.

they aren't that retarded, if it only served to make the game compatible with the parts pack the community would crucify them to an extent that makes the average level of hate look like a love in.

This game really has very few bugs, considering how huge it is. The crash bugs, though, need to go. Or at least add an autosave, but that would raise issues because there are no save slots...
