BEFORE YOU ANSWER POLL
Please say why you dont like it, whats wrong with it, and why you chose what you did so i know what to change or what is good.

And please check for updates, i will put a star next to recently added things
Also just a reminder i have started with space age since it is the larger stage, i will work my way to the others.

Space Stage
Spore should have an online option, to commuicate in space age with actual people, and destroy real peoples empire while they attempt to defend it, and to make this work better you should add chat functions, but for child safety this should only be between buddys, otherwise you would just get a normal contact thingy like the other cpu empires do.
The online feature is only an option chosen at the start when you choose your creature, vehicle, and buildings.
with war, you can only wage war by having both agree to wage war, certain items can only be used at certain times, small weapons like proton missile and laser can be used any time, and the more powerfull the item, the further into war you have to be, this prevents people from randomly destroying peoples planets, you can only do certain things depending on your status with them.
This will make the planet buster be very powerful, and if its over used the galaxy will be destroyed, so this will be changed to make the planet uninhabitable so noone can go to that planet for a day, as if it didnt exist, but after a day it will be back, but be a T0 planet.

***also since there will be alot of taken up spaces in the galaxy, there should be some other galaxys which can be gotten to with a new interstellar drive type, Intergalactic drive, which allows you to zoom out your whole galaxy and travel to others, and the other galaxy will represten diffrent servers you can go on, and noone can get to your own galaxy, and vice versa, there should be 5 or so that allow you to travel further and further each time, and when you install the game you are randomly placed on any one of these galaxy, and also the (Spoiler) Super Massive Black hole in the center of the universe should be able to transport you to another random galaxy, but would require Super Masive Wormhole key.

and due to the amounts of galaxys and stuff there is it will be hard to get around, so 2 new items can be added, and others have more upgrades.
the 2 new ones are Interstellar Auto Pilot, which allows you to select click at far off places in the galaxy and universe and that will automaticly make your ship move on that course, but one you get near the center of the universe this shorts out, Also this could be made to have a range with it, which can be upgraded to have further range.
the second new item will be Teleportation Module, which will allow you to teleport to special selected points in the galaxy, to choose these points you will buy special items called Teleportation Beacon, which can be placed on a planet, and when you use your teleportation module, you will choose were to teleport to (only places you have placed a Beacon) and them you teleport there, but your beacons can break down, be destroyed, and can only be placed on your own planets of allies planets. this will have a large cooldown, the beacons will be expansive, and they will have a cooldown to be placed.
this will obviously make the reture ticket seem useless, but there will be a change to that, you have a new ability if your a shaman, Ticket Beacon, which you can place for free, there is no cooldown, you can place as many as you want, and your return ticket will teleport you to any of them, with a lower cooldown than the teleporter. this now makes the return ticket usefull again.

since this makes the game alot bigger, and into an MMORPG there should now be more ways to single your self out, and make you difrent to others. there will be new parts for all edittors for one, also you can combine philosiphys and even make your own, with its own ability you make, which seems a bit over poweres but i will explain it in a momemt, but pretty much you can combine the current maxis philosiphys and have all 9 abilitys, but you will have to do all philosiphy change missions, or you can make your own in the Philosiphy Editor, which will allow you to make your ability, and choose the type (Force, chance, ect ect), and make the ability, which can do a list of things, but will have a percent system simmilar to vehicles, so if you have a super powerfull ability that takes over a whole planet, then it will be very slow working, and have a long cooldown, the best way is to balance it out, but anything can be done, the way it will work is you choose how it works, it will ask to enter what it does and what it does it to, then you adjust the percent for the power speed and time, which are 3 bars with sliders that go ands and down, but if you move one up, the others go down. so you could make your own unique abilitys, but still have balance.
Also instead of level 10, there should be level 100, and much more badge levels too, so you dont finish it all in one day.

also since peopel wont be there all the time, your planets will gain an immunity when offline, so they will be invisible, and unable to take over, unless they already are in the process of a take over, this prevents people from logging out to save them selves.
if a person is offline for a certain amount of time though their lower tscore planets will appear, and more will appear untill they come online, this is so a person doesnt controll the whole galaxy, then log out and never come back.

and since there is alot of people, the Grox will pobably be eliminated quickly, so i have an idea for them, their attacks will be much larger, take over planets, they will be able to survive on an t score planet, and they can build multiple colonys on one planet np matter what the t score, and become much more powerfull, and they are also harder to ally with due to the power increase, and sends you at war with all players, even those who are allied with the grox. Also thi calls for a new story line, which will involve center of the universe rather then galaxy, so the center of the universe will be covered in Super Grox, grox which are more powerfull, more cyborg, and unable to ally with, which these will protect the universe center and their planets turn to gas giants if raised above t0 and you are unable to colonize them, they also change to gas giants if grox die. this means you cant take over their planets, but you can destroy them and make your way to the center of the universe which holds a huge secret, which i will leave maxis to come up with a story, but it should be something to do with spode, like the spode should be in the center of the universe. these new grox wont attack but will stay dedicated to defending the center of the universe, to get there you will most definantly need a team of friends who have full offensive capabilitys and able to fight off the grox and make their way to the center of the universe, and see the secret that is there.

there should also be new levels to all items, weapons have new super and ultra that go past mega, and everything can go to a much higher level number. and there should be new spice types black, white, orange, grey, brown, cream, and special more expensive shiny spices, and also rare Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platnum, and rainbow spice, which all sell for alot.

*Civilion Stage
in this stage all creatures battle it out for planetary domination.
they can be religous, economic, or millitary, but have new units as well as a turret and wall builder.
the new units are:
Millitary: Gunner Best against Vehicles, Artillary Best against Building, Millitary Balanced
Religous: Converter Best against Vehicles, Missionary, Best against Buildings, Religous Balanced
Economic: Defender Best against Vehicles, Trader Best against citys, Economic Balanced
so each get 3 vehicles, and all 3 can be air, sea, and land, this adds more strategy to the game rather then just 3 simple vehicles.
and there is also an upgrade system, open your city planner and then there will be buttonw which can upgrade certain aspects, like vehicle health, vehicle damage, building health, and turret damage.

this is pretty much all for civ stage, but you can be online and vs real people, and a combination of people and cpu.


*Tribal
tribal stage is online and also has some new things, it has new buildings, and new features, like Bow and Arrow building, Drum Building, and Farm Building.
Also has new special uses for Domesticated animals, they can be trained to attack, they can be trained to dance, and be trained to be riden to increase speed, and it has the upgrades like in civ stage. but otherwise the same but online.

*Creature
In this stage you are all creatures and inhabit nests around the world and can attack and socialize with eachother, but also they have some new features, strenght, and kindness are in the game, kindess increases your level of social and strength increases attacks, so if you had 5 strength (thats max) and 5 Bite, you would have 10 Bite in total, which would be very powerful, and same with kindness. You can also make nests werever you want, and there is no forced migration, also when you create an early creature, it can have the abilitys on it, Fly, Dig, Walk, or Swim, which depends on were it lives fly has nests in trees, dig is underground, walk is on land, and swim is underwater, the flying, digging, and swimming will all be controlled simmilar to a space ship.
also the choice you make will depend on what things you can get in the creature stage.

*Cell
the cell stage will be the same, but with a mix of other people and computers and there will be people bigger then you and smaller then you, and you will be able to be eaten by another players giant, but then to some players your the giant, also new things could be added but i have no ideas.

Thats all for now, if you have any more ideas and want to add them just post here. i will check this everyday and add ideas that i like to the list, and i will also add new ideas of my own too

I see we have some no's, why hasnt anyone replied and said why? if you dont like it ask what you dont like to be changed, dont just say no and leave, i put a poll so people could say what they think and discuss it not so they could read the title and say no, i actually doubt the people who said no even read it, they seem to have read expansino and left, but this is alot of content and would have to be added in a few patches, thats why i named it an expansion, and i doubt Maxis would release something like this in a patch, i am just doing what they would do.... and then sending it in as an idea.

planet busters could be changed to make the planet temporarily uninhabiltable (a day or so) and there will be no cheats online, so you wont be able to buy a million and go around busting planets.

you just reset, but for this to work, a war or attack should be permitted between the two. imagine I'm close to getting omnipotent and some other stuff. then I go to my planet to collect some spice, but all of a sudden, My planet asplodes.

so, no. would be way to unfair.

How about different galexies for dirrerent levels? That way there are not any level 20s and abunch of newbies getting kiiled as soon as they start up.

i agree with chatrooms and the such. I disagree with what you are saying though. Maybe people could choose to reveal their empire to the "online" world. Then people could come and do whatever they wanted to that empire, and the other player would get a report of what happened while he was away. however, his game would not be effected. His empire would always be in the same place to players. other players could also turn on and off whether they want to encounter these empires.

Of all my years of forum watching, only one signature has stood out. It took a special place in my heart, motivating me to live with flair. Sort of.

1. if you think Spore could be much better, support the CAMPAIGN TO MAKE SPORE BETTER!

The game was never intended as a MMRPG as such none of the AI would probably work. Neither would the fact that the galaxy is saved on your computer. Space is also only one part of spore. It was never intended to be just space. How would you integrate spore "online" in all phases ?

I personally don't want to have hundreds of teenages "posting take that sucker" (ok that's a nice form) whenever I eventually get to space.

Finally I would like maxis to improve the current gameplay, not have to expand and redesign the whole current system. Games which are designed to be single player rarely work well as multiplayer.

people usualy would have played the normal game before they play space stage, and newbies wont be able to be killed instantly since both players will have to agree to wage war, which newbies wont be able to instantly as there will be missions to do before you can fully play the online game.

you have to be buddies with the person to speak with them, and there wont be AI in online mode for that long other then grox, and it shouldnt be too hard to change them to react to multiples, also you choose whether to start online or not when you start up, when you choose your creature, vehicle, and buildings you choose online or offline, it isnt manditory its optional.

also i started with the space age and was going to work my way to the other stages, since space age is the last one people will most likely be playing that, and its the largest phase too, i will add civ, tribal, creature and cell stages once space is done.

the spore galaxy will still be saved on your computer, the online one wont, it will be saved onto a spore server.

Are you willing to pay $15 per month for this service?

Regardless, I don't see Spore in its current iteration working as a multi-player game. The main problem is that Spore centers around the creators. Are you going to pause the game every time someone goes in to tweak a creation? If not, how do you explain to that person that they were bombed out of existance while they were busy in the editor?

being in the edditor will be the same as if you were logged off, its not like you would spend too long in edditor anyway, and i would pay $15 a month for that service.... i used to pay for my World of Warcraft account untill i quit...
