I think the Dinos have had enough fun in the spotlight... time for the lesser-known beasties to get their 12 seconds of fame :]

Wait! NO dinosaurs?!

This Sporecast is for the animals that most people don't remember, the ones that you can only find in picture books and history novels. Wether they were driven to the brink by humans or simply disappeared, any extinct creature from written history is welcome.
((Mostly late Pleistocene to Holocene please!))

Critically endangered creatures are welcome as well :p

If you have any realistic creations that are 'as dead as a Dodo', feel free to post! If not, then I'll be spamming my own thread lots as I update regularly...

Well, according to Bob Bakker birds are dinosaurs. He said that from what he could tell there really wasn't sufficient change from pre-flight theropods to remove birds from the dinosaurs. He included birds within...oh, never mind. I'm just being difficult for fun. There are a couple different sporecasts oriented toward non-dinosaur animals of the past, although they seemed to be fairly heavily leaning toward post-Mesozoic mammals. It would be interesting to see several different takes on some Permian reptiles like Dimetrodon or maybe some of the armored fish that used to roam the seas.

Anomalocaris, top predator of the Cambrian seas, and, in fact, one of the earliest fossils to be unambiguously a predator.

You're right Amoebor... to prevent myself from stepping on the toes of other non-Dino sporecasts, I'll add in a stricter timeline in my original post :P It might trim the range of animals a bit, but ah well. Any and all prehistoric chickens are more than welcome however!

Once I swim through the Sporepedia, I'll add in that crazy Anomalocaris. This Sporecast has a serious lack of arthropods :D

Forgot to add in my Tiger too :X

Updated again, though it's not responding or even showing it. Conspiracy... I'll try it again later if it doesn't go through.

Fantastic- the Sporecast has been updated, yet I still need to fill in a few holes. That'll teach me to try and use the Sporepedia when the 'Newest Popular' resets...

Knew I saw a Przewalski's floating about somewhere :p Good job everyone.

Oh man, my topic is going extinct faster than my creations are!

What a negligent parent I am :P I'll make somethin' later to bring this thing back to life.

Here's a new one. An Ancylotherium, basically a giant primative goat-like creature that went extinct
