Personally, I prefer Scientist and Zealot. They break the Galactic Code with their Superpowers. MWAHAHAHAHA!!!

It's as if their Superpower (Gravitational Wave for Scientist, Fanatical Frenzy for Zealot) are cheats that say "You snooze, you lose, now gimme your planet!"

But there are some cons

1. You break the Galactic Code (which makes other empires hate you)
2. It has one LONG cooldown

But the pros outnumber them

1. You break the Galactic Code (Yes, if you do, it will help you ally with the Grox. They like breaking the Code. But you have to be near their empire to do this)
2. You immediately claim the planet with no harm done to you (great for conquering homeworlds!)
3. It's great
4. It's awesome
5. You have total power over an enemy's homeworld

Ok, so maybe 3 and 4 weren't really pros, just my opinions. So they don't count. So WHAT?! They're awesome! Done!

I like Shamans because of their return ticker

I'm a zealot, and I broke code. I allied the Grox. I use an exploit of saving, exiting and starting again to get rid of cooldown.

Once your allyed with the grox, the galactic code doset mater anymore

Prefer Zealot early on, Trader later. Late game you have more than enough money to buy systems and if you simply want to travel around, taking over home systems without aggravating everyone can be useful.

Where's the Diplomat?

My favorite is the Diplomat (which you forgot).Static Cling+Antimatter Bombs=1 pwnt homeworld

I'm a terraformer at heart.

Ecologist. Mmmm sucky sucky your entire planet's species....

That makes transforming much simpler.

warrior. raider rally can do some pwning and pirates are great at distracting turrets. It is sorta like a not so good version of asking an empire to take out the trash

I like the Shaman archetype because of it's special ability. I like to explore my galaxy, so being able to get right back to my home planet is very convenient.

I liked shaman initially since I did a ton of long-distance traveling, but I find myself leaning more towards scientist (primarily because I'm evil and I really just want to wipe out the whole galaxy) and ecologist (because someone has to repopulate it after I'm done!) lately.
