So will this be fixing the game so it's like it was advertised as? Science and stuff, like it was a year+ ago?

So in other words completely remake the whole game and give it to you for free? No. The changes from science Spore to cute Spore took 2 years. I doubt they will change that back in a month. And even if they did, it would cost you.

May the Brambler Empire bring peace to the galaxy... as long as the Oston Empire doesn't buy it first.

not likely. It is what the description says it is.

If you mean Spore, lies. Maybe the vague product description, but it is not what we've been led to expect, their advertising.

In a single patch? No, definitely not. But I think after a number of expansions we might be a little closer. Yes, you'll have to pay for it, but it's that or nothing. Somebody has to cover EA's lost money for the useless 2 years of development they spent.

I have a bridge to sell you for only $1000 USD, and a knife that will cut nails and still remain sharp. Your cell phone can cook popcorn, Oh and drinking Sporeweiser will get you mad chicks.....

at what point did you start believing advertisements?

I have a feeling you'll be sorely disappointed.

Setting expectations like this is setting yourself up for disappointment. Much like what happened when the game was released. People filled in the gaps, and their expectations were way out of line with reality. Though there are things I'm disappointed in, for the most part, it met my expectations with only really a few exceptions.

I just hope they fix some of the glitchiness with lighting, and the occasional invisible critters issue I've been experiencing lately.

Oh, yeah, and the majority of the crashes.

What I hope for, but can't expect is the flora editor. I'm sick of seeing the same plants on my planets all the time. There are only a few hundred plants in Sporepedia, which means repetition is unavoidable.

All hating aside here, (I've pretty much said all I can at this point)..

I am just hoping for the one thing that would save this stuff pack ordeal...... the inclusion (err re-inclusion) of stackable parts!!!! That would do it for me till the spring The expectation is not that high in my opinion.

Why was this unstickied? I thought the patch was stealth-launched and went to download it for my game only to find out it wasn't released yet.

The thread served its purpose in letting people know that a patch was coming. Not really needing sticky at this point.
