Spore Site Update: Multiple Screen Names for Your Spore Account.

Keep in mind, this is just a first iteration of this feature. We hope to continue to improve it and I will keep an eye on the Sporum for feature requests and bugs. We apologize for not being able to solve all of the problems with this system - but Spore was originally designed from the ground up to only support a single player.

Regarding Achievements: In the original post on this board, I stated how we thought Achievements would work. It did not end up working that way.

In this first pass, any achievement you get from this point on will be awarded to all the screen names attached to the Master Account. If you play for 100 hours and get the Spore Addict achievement, it will also show up on your little brother's profile page, even if he's only played for one hour. Any achievements you've earned before now will only show up on your original screen name's profile page.

We know that this is not an ideal solution and will work on improvements to this in the future.

so here's the next question. If I delete all my bro/mom's creations from my sporepedia and he logs in under the new name on his comp, will they re-upload onto his screen name?

I believe it would require making small edits to each creation to update the author and then manually re-uploading them.

You would lose any comments, however.

wow is there an echo lol. these are the last 2 posts from the other. I will probably try that, but I was hoping sporemaster of lucy could answer that just to be sure.

Oh and just to be sure. If my bro logs into his GAME with the new screen name, all his saves will still be there on his comp right?

yes i know, there are many meanings to that but what i meat is...

I got spore cc the day it came out. it did not work for my computer and i was sad. than one day in August I repatched the game and the cc started to work! I was so excited I typed in my email address really fast and did not double check it,
when my account was made i tried to log in online, but it would not let me, then i checked my spore account information on the cc and realized, I switched 2 letters in my email address!!!!1 now I'm playing my spore game on an email account that i mispelled so i do not get any informational email... Pleas let us have the ability to fix our email in the spore account

How exactly do you delete a screen name?

I'm amazed that no one has posted any positive feedback yet... something we've been asking for has finally been implemented!

Well, I for one want to give you guys a big thank-you for finally getting this feature up-and-running. Now my sister can post all her cra- er, creations on her own account, leaving mine for me! ^^

On the Manage Spore Screen Names screen, there's a "Delete screen name" link next to all of your non-default screen names. Note that you can not delete your default screen name.

Now I see what you mean, it didn't show up at first, in fact I had totally different "Manage Screen Names" first. anyway thanks for the effort of responding.

Creation and login works so far...
Shared saves, sepparate Sporepedias... nice. A thumbs up.

That is a feature that the EA online account system would have to change. The Spore Online team can't do that work. I will put it in the suggestion box.
