I really need to make seaports in the space stage rather than remove the water with the sculptor....how do I make a colony with a seaport?
Thanks!

You can't. Sorry.

Conquer another race's homeworld. The folks over at Electronic Assimilator were too lazy to program this.

I'm not a fan of SecuROM, and will not be buying anything else infected with it in the future.

I thought this was kind of lame myself. I tried probably like you every way possible to get a seaport with my new colonies. Nothing gets it to work, close to water, far from water, adding water in after.

Then I finally decided it really doesn't matter once you're in the space stage though, everything about the game is done from your space ship, not the ground. You have no control over buying and using the land based vehicles like boats so it becomes pointless to worry about if you have a sea port or not.

With that said though, for some unknown reason I'd still like to make seaports a part of some of my new colonies, though I have a full list of things I'd like to see to make the game more interesting to play. Maybe I'll start a new post with my list of things that would make the game better...

on your homeworld you can probably see some ships but they won't show up in the vehicle selection screens.

Well I have tryed every thing to get this done. I deal with programing and its not because there lazys but atmctily when you place a clony it bakes the land around it even wich makes it hard for maix to add in sea ports

My two best awnsers how to do this would be donlad a hacking genertor or eaiml the spore company, then when you log in dowload the update and it might work.

I have spent 3 hours trying to get a seapor on earth.

November sixth, two thousand nine. Rorschach's journal.

Another thread found necro'd. Smelled of rotten eggs and road kill. Babbeled about sea port colonies.

Question already ansewered. Need only kill it, somehow.

you can. just place the colony in range of a spice geyser but make sure it has no land access. if this dosnt work it dosnt matter because you get the spice anyway.

Actually, if it weren't for that boundary of land, you'd get more than one sea-port due to the certainty of human error.

I got one once by pure dumb luck as I placed a colony in a T0 world and I then proceeded to terraform it as usual. The location of the seas that appeared in the T1 planet turned the colony into a port city.

I do not managed to replicate it again so maybe it was a bug.
